Just get a quote from my contractor for cost of air cond installation as below:

1. Conceal and install copper piping for 3HP cassette air cond (30ft) - RM800
2. Conbceal and install copper piping for 1.5HP air cond (105ft) - RM2310.
3. Conceal and install copper piping for 1.0hp air cond (75ft) - RM1800
4. To install 1 hp air cond - RM120 each
5. To install 1.5hp air cond - RM150 each
6. to install 3.0hp cassette air cond - RM350 each.

* all these air cond are non-inverter.

What you think about this pricing? Expensive or ok? Thanks for sharing!

Wow. Long piping. A reminder, check your AC spec. I do not believe there is any 1HP and 1.5HP AC piping that allows you to go more than 20m. That 100 plus feet might result in compressor oil return problem and your compressor will die very fast. Capacity drop is the last thing you will want to worry.

Really sorry for the confusion. Actually I need to install 7 units of aircond : 1 2.5HP Cassette (according to my contractor, the installation cost is the same as 3HP, so, he quote me 3HP price), 3 1.5HP and 3 1HP. Very headache now. Install aircond also damn expensive!
Thank you!

Your piping so long, sure expensive. Have you consider losses? 1HP at that length may not get any power when reach the blower.

My previous company, need 30000btu, but the compressor is 5 level below, total length is about 90ft and the HVAC expert advise minimal 36k BTUs, we end up getting about 40k BTUs and is just nice.

Sorry, I am not good in this. May I know what is BTU?

An update: After survey both Jintex, Onking and Legend for Daikin aircond. Legend still slightly cheaper. But, Jintex no more selling the non inverter type. Just some info for those Aircond shoppers.

I just got a contractor.
quoting me
1.0 HP inverter cooper pipe (concealed) + outlet pipe (concealed) = RM600 each
1.5 HP inverter cooper pipe (concealed) + outlet pipe (concealed) = RM650 each
excluded the electric point.

RM600 for 1.0 HP reasonable?
*
I think it's bloody expensive. For 1.0HP, the price should be ranging from RM250 to RM300. Try to get more quotation.

Maybe i will cut down my double storey first floor inverter copper and outlet conceal pipe.
because ppl wont see it so clearly (without conceal) if I install them at behind.

A tips - Just calculate how many airconds required. Then, go and negotiate a lump sum good price in one of the electrical shops. The aircond installer also cannot match their price. Just do some survey.
