hi sifu-sifus,

any recommendation for a 1HP ac (non-inverter) which the compressor is quiet when operating? How about Pana 1HP, is it ok?

The reason is my middle room ac compressor is located in master room's balcony (both room are next to each other), so assuming that middle room open the ac while i am not (so i open the master room balcony window), I dont want the compressor operate so noisy that I cant sleep at nite...

any recommendation? thanks!

is the pana 2HP non-inverter piping diameter same with pana 1.5HP non-inverter?

I conceal the 2HP non-inverter piping, but now thinking to install the 1.5HP non inverter pana ac only, not sure the pipe diameter is same?

I do checking on the pana ac catalog, the pipe diameter for 1.5 & 2HP is same, while 1HP is slightly smaller.....so it should be fine?

Anyone with similiar experience??

I did not install a 2HP aircon. I have only 1 HP and 1.5HP.
If you intend to install the 1.5HP aircon using the initially installed copper piping for the 2HP, it should be OK.
You cannot install the 1.5 HP to a 1HP copper piping

yeah that is in my mind also, bigger HP pipe can use for smaller HP aircond, but not the other way.....so just asking anyone have similiar experience.

another thing is my living room ceiling height is about 9ft, and the total enclosed living+dining area is roughly 360sqft (12ft x 24ft = 288sqft rectangular area for living+dining, and another 14ft x 3.5ft = 49sqft for corridor to bedrooms, and a small 24sqft for main door entrance attached living room, so total 288+49+24 = 360sqft space)

I search some online BTU/h calculator and found 2 type of answer, some calculator give me roughly 12000+ BTU which means that i need to put a 1.5HP ac, but some website give the calculation like 360x60 (60 is like a 'miracle number to calculate the BTU figure) = 21600BTU which means i need to put a 2HP ac.

the price between 1.5 and 2HP ac really differs a lot (~rm600+), therefore i am confused whether which HP to choose.

FYI ,my kitchen is separated from this area by glass sliding door, and there is only 1 side (roughly 12ft length) of the wall (which is actually a glass sliding door to balcony) is facing South direction. My usage for the ac is only daytime can give me 22-26degC cooling, i am not going to put the ac temperature to below 20degC (like I am staying in north pole, hahaha).

So i really need you sifu-sifu's help about the HP figure....

how small is 'small' compressor?

I know panasonic basic model 1HP and 1.5HP using a small compressor, but pana ionizer model 1.5HP using a bigger compressor.

i got a problem with pana basic 1HP ac.

bought n installed the ac 2 mths ago, after install that day i test it, damn cold. Then i moving in and dint on the ac for 2 mths. Today go ON it, it do not cold at all !

what is the problem, could it be ac faulty or gas leaking? (the indoor unit and outdoor compressor seems working).
who should I ask to come check? the panasonic service center, or the ppl that install the ac ?

Better to get the shop whom you bought the aircon from to take a look at the set. If you call up Pana directly, there could be some changes.

i thought the normal parts are 1 yr warranty and compressor are 5 yrs warranty for pana AC ? still got charges if i direct call Pana?

crap, bad luck for me, my new house 1 pana AC not cold, 1 KDK fan got annoying sound and wobble, 1 Alpha fan got random bearing noise......crap now i know no such thing as THE BEST brand!!!

normally for those fan issue u all call the shop who sell you the fan, or direct call the service center?
