today the aircond installer come and have a look at my living room layout to decide the best place to place it..
my aircond is panasonic 1.5hp inverter..

he charge me RM18 per feet for that inverter host..is the reasonable?
in total he said need 30 feet from my aircond to the compressor which i plan to place outside of my house..

so total for inverter host alone rm18x30 feet = rm540... rclxub.gif

currently i am using panasonic inverter 1 hp in my bedroom..the aircond unit was good(thumbs up), but the compressor(which place outside my room window) was kinda noisy..at night can hear the sound while on bed. it is brand new.

so now i am thinking to get an aircond for my new house master bedroom. same thing the compressor, i will place outside my window too...but after having bad experience with my panasonic, i m thinking to try other brand which compressor operate quietly. i need recommendation from fellow forummers here. smile.gif

my budget : less than rm1.3k
requirements : 1hp, inverter, QUIET compressor, aircond blower(left to right : can swing 140 degree), easy maintenance, usage about 3 hours per day only...

any that suits my requirement?

wanna get more cooling and saving more, just go with Starmex inverter guaranty you set in 25-26 degree good enough, even place outside of window still quiet in working.. easy clean and bigger condenser can keep more faster cooling time..

starmex = mitsubishi?

i m looking for aircond that can swing(left-right and right-left) to at least 140 degree..
reason is i m currently using panasonic inverter, and i can't feel the air if i sit more towards the right side(use laptop)...no matter how it swing, it cover only 90 degree(estimate)... sweat.gif

any aircond unit can "cover more area"?

Set lower temp + higher fan speed, can cover wider area.
Panasonic inverter got offer with 360degree of swing left & right + up down in auto mode.
Unless your panasonic inverter under power smile.gif

Even i set it to auto(both up-down & letf-right swing), i can't feel the air if my sitting/standing location is out of the 90 degree coverable area sweat.gif

yes, unless i set to highest speed, else i can't feel the air..

My contractor quote me conceal price 1HP Inverter RM400 11 feet piping & 2HP Inverter RM500 11 feet piping.
Then installation 1HP Inverter RM350 & 2HP Inverter RM500. It is reasonable?

overcharge imo
mine conceal piping(hacking)..1.5hp inverter + 22 feet(include 10 feet that come with the aircond) = RM350

price exclude aircond installation..
