Oh, aircond prices actually went up? It's been steadily going down for as long as I can remember, just like computer or other electrical appliance's prices.

I'd got for Jap brand airconds. Korean ones are still problematic according to my electrical appliances repair man. If u use a lot, spend more on an inverter type, it'll pay back for its own higher purchase price. Electricity rates can probably only go up in the future.

Panasonic inverter airconds need special, bigger and thicker copper coils, while Daikin inverter airconds don't. But Panasonic CLAIMS biggrin.gif theirs can save up to 50% electricity consumption while Daikin only claims around 30~40%.
