I use powder detergent.

Doesn't matter powder or liquid. Much be low sud. Otherwise can spoil the washing machine.

Another is half a year, you need to wash the washing machine using some powder to get rid of slime, dirty and hard water. Can get it from ACE.

I think it wrinkled. Can't remember much cause seldom dry the shirt. Mostly tshirt and cotton.

Iron mode is for left some moist on the shirt for ironing. Not complete dry.

Thanks for the infor sharing Ozak. I am thinking to use liquid and pour it into the tub and wash. I can't imagine my electricity bill after this as i will be using much of the dryer. Yesterday using the low temp. to dry my bed sheet. it took 3 hours.

Dyamo have low sud liquid detergent. So far what I know. Or just look for detergent where it show front loading washing machine.

Your bill will sure up. I limit myself to use the dryer as much as possible. Just try to avoid washing during raining day. Unless no choice.

Anyway, still cheaper than laundry shop. smile.gif

Yeah front loading must use low sud detergent/powder, I kena RM275 replacing the board.

I use this Ariston combo washer dryer for almost 15 years. I think around that period already twice I sent it to shop for repair one for replacing the board (how stupid of me using breeze super foaming powder for front loading machine) and the other one also the board problem as the machine stops in the middle of washing.

Other than that the other parts are still durable and kicking through that 15 years.

But the dryer takes longer time to dry as the machine aged. Now it takes maximum 2 hours to dry bunch of undergarments.

I shall wait for that to kaput before buy a new machine of coz i would go for another combo. Save everyone time and energy.

Since i dont want to waste electricity to iron wrinkled shirts and pants etc, these type of clothes i hang quickly as soon as the rinsing process stops. This is to avoid wrinkles during drying process and let it dry by itself on the hanger. But for small clothing like underwear, socks etc i leave it in the machine and let the dryer do its thing.

So any good durable combo washer dryer to recommend?

When it comes to dryer, electricity bill will be expensive due to the heating element.
From what I read It cost about Rm1.50 -RM2 to operate a dryer for one load.

The latest technology of dryer is using hot steam to dry. It save power.

The old type is using heating element which is power sucker. You need ducting for this.

The one I m using now LG is condensing type which recycle back the hot air while condense the water out. The saving is second to steam type.

Opps sorry, the drying knob can set to maximum 2 hours, i have to do it again set another 2 hours cause the first two hours the clothes still damp. So all together 4 hours to completely dry so imagine what is the power consumption for 4 hours drying.

It was not taking this long when first few years i bought it 30min -1 hour tops, clothes should dry. Maybe few of the heater elements kaput liao after all these years.

The heating element will deteorate with time. Sure will take longer time to heat up. The heating element can last that long is already a good machine.

The new type dryer have a sensor to detect how dry and the estimate time to dry. Even you can have slighty damp setting or more dry.
