It don't have dust collector. Only a drain trap. Wash 2x a yrs.

Cloth never have a fiber stuck on it. And totally forget that a dryer require a filter. Till now.

Already run 6yrs+. The drain never clog before.

It look like better than single dryer. No need clean filter, no clog and maintainence free. So what 's wrong with 2in1?  hmm.gif

For your case maybe is never concern about dust collect at all, just washer and forget only..

Also 2 in 1 dose not have any dust tray, unlike a dryer lah.. Nothing wrong with 2 in 1, that is just for consumer choice, if you really care about it on envoplment, so won't go for 2 in 1.

So my question here is "Is Samsung front load gooding?'
*
Yes Samsung quite Gooding on vibration balance with noisy level.

Last time mine got one top load used around 5 yrs still don't have any issue like balancing problem, just for me 6kg is too smaller size and thier stainless filter quite well for dust collecting

Unless they sell pedestal to bring FL up to ergonomic height or can find universal off the shelf kind, get a top loader. Currently only some brands brought in here like GE do carry the pedestal. I saw that once in D Format kitchen opp the Strand.

for FL machine, what's the minimum size required to wash comforter/toto?
*
At least 7kg and above.. Nowadays in markets around 10kg for some brand maximum only.

Except for LG 17kg wash & 10kg dryer

i know
the reason why i bought TL was, i had just started working back then, fresh graduate. and i moved around. so TL was more suitable due to lighter weight.
now i have my own house, will get the FL.
but i shall use the TL as long as it can still serves me
*
Ok I understand that.

Ok

if u compare to 1400 or 1200 RPM of spins, from spin 1000 slightly wet than the higher spinning speed only.

how much the higher rpm affects?
cleaner? or short wash cycle (hence save more water compare to 800rpm)?

i am currently looking at electrolux EWP85752 (850rpm), EWP10742 (1000rpm) and EWP12732  (1200rpm)
Thanks

Water usage wouldnt different, from RPM of speed would effect on when unloaded cloths and feel some wet remaining, like top load maximum at 800 Rpm only.

For landed house without any issue when hand on cloths rack and take longer time for drying only.

If open air much better without any badly smell.

That is in market got higher faster speed for 1400-1600 PRM so far, wanna quicky dry and pay as higher only.

QUOTE(skty @ Dec 22 2014, 12:12 AM)
Hi guys...

Sorry for my ignorance as I read through from page 97 to page 121 but I still can't figure out what brand/spec I should really go for...

I am shifting to my new apartment therefore I need to buy my first ever washing machine. Households members max is around 6 people. I am trying not to wash clothes very often. My current situation is wash twice a week (for 2 ppl only). Therefore, what capacity of WM that afford to allow me wash my laundry twice a week? Talking about capacity, can I ask 1 kg of TL WM = how many kg of FL WM? The sales lady told me 7 kg FL equivalent to 14 kg TL as TL's kg need to take into account of the water weight. Is it so much different?

I have seen supersound bro recommending Panasonic or Toshiba TL WM. But I went for a look and found that the base of the WM is plastic. Is there any full stainless steel TL WM around? I saw LG advertising their "FULL STAINLESS STEEL TUB" and saw their base is silver colour but I don't think its stainless steel after I touching it. In addition, any recommendation for FL WM? I am comparing both TL & FL atm because of promotion price, both are almost similar priced.

Also, I have seen supersound bro recommending not to buy inverter type. But big capacity WM all comes with inverter. Is inverter really that bad servicing?

Besides all those fundamental spec, I am very confuse with all the functions that each brand offers. I think some of them are actually the same function but they named it differently. But I can't confirm whether they are the same as I have no experience in this. I have come across halcyon27 bro's post sharing below:

"However the imbalanced spin issue is now a thing of the past with newer FL anti vibration and load balancing tech:
LG calls it TrueBalance Anti Vibration System
Hitachi calls it 4 or 5 ply Load Balancer
Samsung calls it Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT)"

Appreciate if you could share any other similar technology/function but with different names in different brands.

Many thanks in advance!
*
Nowaday still got ppls choosing bigger capacity and get the without inverter motor?
Also most VRT or TAV just apply for FL only.

Regarding on samsung filtering design was impressive, thier used very fine nett for filter, drum got roller at the bottom also for help the cloths turning more eaier to spins.

Maybe you can go and look for samsung 14kg top load too.

is it true 7kg FL equivalent 14kg TL?  dun play play put your 14kg dirty clothes to FL ma  rclxms.gif
*
Not really lah.. TL more cheaper then can save a bit more.

FL more expansive and design too.

7kg FL compartment quite smaller leh, daily use 3 to 4 persons still ok.

But comforter can't be wash already, due to 7kg compartment and door opening much smaller than TL.

The ideal you own smaller capacity and bring out comforter for kedah dobi then solved.

Everything is can't to compare as what you like.

so TL cleaner than FL?

TL honestly for me on TL not really efficient or too cleaned like FL.

TL for all cloths would be sticks & roll together.
Unlike FL won't be it happen, from thier design on drum is horizontal spins.

TL is vertical drum then for all cloths would be mix out together and internal surface can found some tissue paper or detergent powder also for sometime only.
