Just came back from watching it, overall it was good and funny movie, its a heist movie+ family drama with a twist of superhero element, no prior knowledge abt ant-man is needed but it referrences the prior mcu events

Theres a lot important easter egg and cameos and keep your ears open stay put until the post credit

Overall i give it 7/10, better than the boring darkworld

I have to say this ant man is good

because the story moves forward

instead of hank pym it jumps into Scott lang

but i think they mess up the avengers film

should be ANTMAN first then the rest of the AVENGERS

love the fight between ANTMAN and FALCON

the last part is already shown on the trailer which was a letdown

i mean the yellowjacket didnt give a scratch to ANTMAN

there was some manly shed tears when original ANTMAN said to her daughter about how her mother die .

Overall this movie is better than the crap AVENGERS AGE OF ULTRON CRAP

8/10

Pros : Compelling storyline

Cons : Weaker boss

Marvel has a thing about surprising people. When u expect it to be good, it will suck and vice versa

Scratching my head figuring out why the villain gave me an annoyance throughout the film. Went home to find out he is the same guy playing Dr. Eph in "The Strain". doh.gif

Ant-Man (2015)

This is easily the most UNUSUAL super-hero origins movie I have ever seen!

Why is it unusual you ask?

Well, the beats are more attune to old Shaw Brother's Kung Fu movie rather than an American production!!!?! laugh.gif

So was it good?

YES!

Storyline?

Unusual for an American Movie.

Casting?

Bold. Great to see Michael Douglas up and about.

Evangeline Lilly (whom I mistaken for Liv Tyler. I kept asking myself why did they cast Hulk's Betty as... laugh.gif) looks like she is gonna bust out in Elvish!!

Paul Rudd (who usually as an air of unassumingness), an interesting choice works well as Ant-Man.

And I also need to add, this is probably one of Marvel's most ambitious work, because what they had managed to get on screen (technically speaking), is mind boggling!!!

I suppose what most of you want to ask is, are there "short" in the end credits, and the answer is yes.

Two in fact.

One very shortly after the end credit starts, another right at the end of the whole end credits!!

So in short, it really does not matter what I say here. If you want to watch this, regardless of what I have to say, you will go watch this.

For those who are on the fence, it is a rather fun movie. Very tongue in cheek.

So, apa tunggu-tunggu lagi???

One of Marvel's best....

Actual science was not ignored, and one of the reasons why Marvel (MCU) is better than "Marvel properties with Fox" and DC/WarnerBros...

More believable Science rather than Fiction (of SciFi)...

Spoiler regarding the science/story...

"That's one messed up dog!". I choked my drink at that and Marvel seem to be very good at origin movies (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Guardians).
And damn that Asian chick at the end is hot.

I found it better than Avengers 2.

The plot is really out of previous Marvel storyline. Very family oriented super hero movie.

Anna Akana! biggrin.gif Dreams do come true eh... she is an aspiring actress (and the occasional filmmaker + YTuber) taking on auditions every now and then, not bad not bad at all! Hope she gets into bigger roles in the future.

The movie was better than I expected.

The most straightforward and least complicated Marvel outing in recent times.

Paul Rudd really is the Ant-Man, just like how well RDJ is the Iron Man.

I love how the world is when everything shrinks.

The action sequences were pretty cool too.

Humor is thrown around almost every corner, and Michael Pena deserves a special mention!

Surprised by how much "Marvel-ness" tongue.gif this movie had - references to Avengers, etc. and the appearance of one of them was not what I expected. I really thought this was going to be a very 'standalone' film set in the Avengers universe and with barely any mention of the Avengers.

Not bad, not bad at all.

Overall, definitely worth watching.

This was looking set for a 7/10, but I'll bump it up to an 8/10 since it was better than I expected.

8/10

Indeed this is better than dumb Ultron.
But this movie is also overrated.
It's made for teenagers.

5/10
