Seen it, but it was doh.gif If indeed it goes this direction, it would be a terrible mistake. Cool concept, but it will get smashed by other worthier superhero flicks.

First impression; not impressed. tongue.gif The trailer did little to excite... but Marvel has been on a winning streak. Perhaps this could be that 'odd bad Marvel film'. Or they are saving the better bits in future trailer. The trailer seem to set a 'serious tone' to the film which I hope is not the case. Weird casting choices too.

Trailer 2 did justice... now I am excited about the movie. The visuals look brilliant when he is 'down-sized' and loving that humorous vibe. smile.gif

Anna Akana! biggrin.gif Dreams do come true eh... she is an aspiring actress (and the occasional filmmaker + YTuber) taking on auditions every now and then, not bad not bad at all! Hope she gets into bigger roles in the future.

The movie was better than I expected.

The most straightforward and least complicated Marvel outing in recent times.

Paul Rudd really is the Ant-Man, just like how well RDJ is the Iron Man.

I love how the world is when everything shrinks.

The action sequences were pretty cool too.

Humor is thrown around almost every corner, and Michael Pena deserves a special mention!

Surprised by how much "Marvel-ness" tongue.gif this movie had - references to Avengers, etc. and the appearance of one of them was not what I expected. I really thought this was going to be a very 'standalone' film set in the Avengers universe and with barely any mention of the Avengers.

Not bad, not bad at all.

Overall, definitely worth watching.

This was looking set for a 7/10, but I'll bump it up to an 8/10 since it was better than I expected.

8/10

Enjoyed it. Definitely one of the funniest Marvel flicks in recent times.

The storyline - Ok, has some weightage with the whole family thing
The visuals - stunning as always, no complaints
The villain - pretty decent, not the run of the mill villain
The action - they were really creative this time with the shrinking/enlarging
The ending - decent

I didn't watch any trailers so everything was eye-opening to me tongue.gif

1st post credits ties to Infinity War
2nd post credits just for the lulz

Overall a great Marvel flick, worth watching.

Comparing the recent most humorous Marvel flicks, between this and 'Thor Ragnarok', I think 'Thor Ragnarok' has a lot more going on. Ant-Man feels a lot more grounded - less interstellary/planetary which isn't a bad thing. It is Ant-Man after all... but don't expect other worldly travels/creatures.

A solid family friendly film although not the most vital Marvel flick.

8.5/10
