Ant-Man (2015)

This is easily the most UNUSUAL super-hero origins movie I have ever seen!

Why is it unusual you ask?

Well, the beats are more attune to old Shaw Brother's Kung Fu movie rather than an American production!!!?! laugh.gif

So was it good?

YES!

Storyline?

Unusual for an American Movie.

Casting?

Bold. Great to see Michael Douglas up and about.

Evangeline Lilly (whom I mistaken for Liv Tyler. I kept asking myself why did they cast Hulk's Betty as... laugh.gif) looks like she is gonna bust out in Elvish!!

Paul Rudd (who usually as an air of unassumingness), an interesting choice works well as Ant-Man.

And I also need to add, this is probably one of Marvel's most ambitious work, because what they had managed to get on screen (technically speaking), is mind boggling!!!

I suppose what most of you want to ask is, are there "short" in the end credits, and the answer is yes.

Two in fact.

One very shortly after the end credit starts, another right at the end of the whole end credits!!

So in short, it really does not matter what I say here. If you want to watch this, regardless of what I have to say, you will go watch this.

For those who are on the fence, it is a rather fun movie. Very tongue in cheek.

So, apa tunggu-tunggu lagi???

Hi Mov_freak.
Thanks for watching and for the acknowledgement. biggrin.gif
I really appreciate it. smile.gif
… and of course, thanks a lot for the support and suggestion made … HAHAHA … the part of “poke an eye out …” really made me laugh.gif
1st time being in front of the camera for such a length of time, nervous throughout, so decided to swing my hands to distract myself. laugh.gif
I think I watched Down with Love last year, if I remember it correctly. I was tired of all the big bada boom actions movies going on, so yea, I guess it came in the right time for me to be entertained. tongue.gif
I’m into all kinds of movie genre, wouldn’t wanna be loyal to just one when variety is so much better.

p/s: had a bad day yesterday but reading that part of your suggestion really made a difference. Thanks, bro.  thumbup.gif

Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)

There are complains about super-hero movies.

The critics claims that they are all... the same....

For me, as far as I am concern, the marvel universe movie each has it's own... idiosyncrasy.

What do I mean?

Tony Stark (Iron Man) is I am so rich and brilliant, that it's sexy.

Steve Rogers [Captain America] and his never say die attitude.

Thor learning humility and earning his Hammer (Mjornir... oh wait)... Axe (Stormbreaker).

Stephen Strange [Doctor Strange] learning there is a world outside of Science

Black Panther and his Princely Nobility...

And Ant Man and his.....

Nothing.... I have got nothing.

And I love this movie!!! laugh.gif

This movie moves to it's own rhythm.

And Paul Rudd (I've known him since he played Josh in Clueless (1995))/Ant Man delivers.

What his deliver is je ne sais quoi?

It is fun to see.

Another impressive thing is they had to make Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer young in the movie and it looks photo real

Kudos!

Almost all the elements in this movie works for me.

And there are two mini movies at the end credit.

So, enjoy

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)

For those who supposedly is waiting for this review... sweat.gif

I actually watched this in Thursday and did not think my reviews matter....

This is an expensive movie.

It is very unlike the first two ant-man movies.

They were of more personal nature and this took on the WHOLE quantum realm....

I actually enjoyed the first half of the movie.

What grated me about the movie was

My take is the second half of the movie wasn't an ant-man movie and... I actually lost interest...

Wakada Forever was not perfect, because of the situation the filmmakers found themselves in (the actor of the lead character passed away).

This movie has a very high aspiration and some what.... falling flat.

I don't think this is what you guys want to hear, I can only impress on you what is

My Two Sen

P.S. there are two end credit scenes
