Jakes' you order some nice sirloin or ribeye and whatever expensive on the menu also can reach few hundred just for 2 person. doesn't make it fine dining either.

jakes charbroil is nice lah wei, just the price is high.

interesting, but i find when Malaysian say they like Italian food, they're often referring to pizza alone. that also Domino's or P.Huts. maybe in some cases, add spaghetti. LOL.

is Alexis even considered Fine Dining?

I had the Cod that vey99 had. And I've also tried their Duck.

Overall it's nice, just on the pricey side. not what I'd consider Fine Dining.

If you like Alexis, can consider trying Zouk Cafe & Bar, Gardens. Again, everything's alright but nothing to shout about.

Added on April 6, 2010, 12:31 ami was at Opus Bistro during the weekend, manage to sample their lamb and it was awesome! tender and juicy, well marinated. looked like done to medium.

plan to make a full trip some day.

i donno la. that one other people order wan, i just eat only.

depends on your budget, what food you like, and how private (or level of noise / human activity tolerance) you want.

so far when comes to Restaurant decor, I like Munich. It's in Puchong, IOI Boulevard.



German dishes, with loads of beer (not alcohol drinker though, just highlighting to you).

there's quite a lot of styles of interior too, subjected to food you like and your budget (yes, I'm repeating myself).

Just walk along Solaris Mont Kiara and you'll see sooooooooo many other restaurants. good or not, we don't know though I'd personally avoid Meatworks.

Favola = the one at Le Meridien huh? Haven't tried since they took over the place, but went to the Japaenese restaurant instead. that one's good! Looks more fine than the rest.

but seriously la guys, i see a lot of recommended dining places here are far from being considered as FINE DINING.

itu la fine dining, RM 107 for that considered normal la for fine dining. add wine gonna boost the cost quite a fair bit.

usually fine dining food are small portion, and from my finding is often high quality and well decorated but not exactly something you can eat kau kau. comes in small portion, may not be that tasty too.

for your budget, places like TGIF / Chilis / Bubba Gumps / Tony Roma's would be just nice.......... unless everyone order JD Steak or Beef Ribs + some beer, then susah for you liao.

price is VERY HIGH, considering the small serving of "so so" food.

you want RM 150 - 200 of small portion but nicely decorated? or you want RM 150 - 200 of eat until super kau kau full?

then of course, atmosphere and ambiance.

any preferred setting? choice of food served? Halal? many things to consider. even your preferred area (geological location) would help.
