Really none. Eat at home is the best, private dining, not crowded, summore you can cook for her (how romantic is that), also can give flower (and do other things) no one disturb. Also won't cost Rm350 smile.gif

Usual places are Cantaloupe at Troika (winner for Timeout's fine dining award) ; Marinis at KLCC tower 3; KL tower; few places in Starhill, bungalow dining around Tun Razak; Changkat Bkt Bintang; and all the hotels eg. Westin, Shangrila, Hyatt, Hilton, etc. blush.gif

Big variety. brows.gif

budget around RM350++ i think can't make it to those restaurants listed above. Those restaurants expect about 200 per pax not including wine.

If Marini's can offer crappy finger food, I wonder how they fair with their main course.

Does anybody now if Frangipani restaurant serve good food? Roughly how much is the dining for two? More to the range of RM200 or RM500, or more? The ambiance seems to be pretty good.

Do you mean Frangipani at Changkat Bukit Bintang? If yes, yeah, i went there once for birthday celebration.

The food was nice, but pricey.

I went there with gf, order a 4-course set for myself and an additional main course for gf, 2 glasses of wine, that cost me about RM450+-

I can say the place was superb, quiet and feel relax. I am dining inside the hall, and tables are surrounding the big pool.

Yeah, the one in Changkat Bukit Bintang. Thanks for the response man. RM500+/- still manageable. Anyway I settled for the restaurant opposite Frangipani (21 Kitchen & Bar) since I didn't receive any response on this thread in time. Costs be about RM200 bucks. Cheap but environment not so nice. There were smokers in the indoor air-conditioned area. Can you imagine that. I can't believe they allow smokers in the air-conditioned area, so we have to go dine at the outdoor area. Shucks.

my last visit there was like 4 years ago so it might not be relevant now, but for KL standards pretty good. Food was nice, environment quite nice, but like all KL restaurants service isn't up to par with fine dining places elsewhere

Not to mention casual restaurants promoting themselves as "Fine Dining". I guess there is no fix definition here in Msia laugh.gif
