is it more worth getting a current Malaysia 80GB package set from sony style...? or getting from some game shop....that has 160Gb none malaysia set.....for almost the same price....say....around RM1899...that is the frm Sony Package..

go for malaysia set.you get waranty.HDD u can upgrade urself n it doesnt void the waranty.

For me, Malaysian set no doubt. Especially now they seems to have lower their price. Rm1599 without any game while i bet game shop can barely go more than Rm100 lower than that.

Why put yourself with 1 year of uncertainty for just a mere 200-300 bucks when you can fork out so much already? smile.gif

Get it from Authorised Sony shop. At least they won't cheat you. All new PS3 will have min. 1 year warranty
on your PS3. In KL, be ware of con artists around Sg.Wang area. Don't buy from them.

Nowadays.. no need to buy the expensive bundle package. If you're just a student with little or no income,
go for the RM1500 should be good enough. For games, you don't have to go for NEW games. Go over to the trade section, plenty of LYN members willing to sell used games for almost HALF the price of the new, including original Blu Ray movies (for example: See my .sig) nod.gif . Also, with PSN, you can get pretty good downloadable games for pretty low price (if you're interested in DLC games sharing as well go to that thread to find out).

definitely worth it the 80G consider that they now don't require you to purchase compulsary games with a price of 1599. but bear in mind that this could be only available in official stores as in the ones in klcc, times square and the curve.

if you can wait, the salesperson mentioned that the white and silver will be coming in soon too...

I went to Sonystyle in 1u and it goes with a 1899 package..consists of LBP and an additional game. THink gonna go to Curve to check do they sell the console only.
