Which is why it is wise to wait. Do you see the regulars rush into these? Those custom firmwares are cooked based on the dependancies of the iPhone in which it was cooked from, what happen if it is severely different than yours? Why are risking the life of your iPhone just for a handful of Cydia apps and free AppStore apps?

And then later come in here and say the iPhone with 2.0 lags, and starts b****ing. Because of the nature of your upgrade using someone else's firmware, this may well be the reason it is running buggily. Patience, sabar. What is there in 2.0 that is gets you so excited so much, that you are willing to risk the life of your iPhone?

Yes, patience. I say all this because I care about you, and what you do to your iPhone. If i dont give a damn, I'd just leave you to do it all and watch you mess it up till point of bricking. Sabar.

If you must do it, borrow a friend's Mac. Do it properly or dont do it at all.

I just testing out the celcom 2g prepaid simcard on my 1st gen iPhone with firmware 2.0.

Test 1 app from apple store, Gifter which auto access to internet (most all application fr apple store does). Celcom charge a few RM for a few SECOND.

This firmware is absolutely not for the limited plan user since there is no app or option to switch off the auto internet access at the moment.

Thank god I have unlimited data plan with another simcard....

2.0 is a real battery drainer, cannot even keep up a day. But loving Exchange Sync and the Apps Store stuff.

Tested OK, with the tutorial from haklabs, try to access it via Google cache, Pwning iPhone Firmware 2.0 (Windows)

download the iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Custom_Restore.ipsw

Nothing interesting, decided to go back to 1.1.4, because could not disable the AutoCorrect for sms.

I'll definitely wait til the proper version for Windows before i switch to 2.0. My Hackintosh hasn't been very cooperative. The USB drive decided to screw up when i need it the most.

But anyway about Push. My company is using the Exchange Server. Assuming that i've properly setup the mail configurations, i should just enable my EDGE and i'll be notified of any new emails in my inbox, rite? Or there Are other things that need to be done to get this to work?

I've read (somewhere in these forums) that with Firmware 2.0, the Call Failed (with Maxis) is minimized or gone? If that's true, then its really worth upgrading to 2.0. Sometimes I feel like smashing the iPhone, especially you're in a hurry and u keep getting the Call Failed, Call Failed...arghhh...

So 2.0 and Maxis users, are u getting lesser "Call Failed" ?
Thx!
