QUOTE(davidgary73 @ Jul 20 2008, 11:40 AM) Yes..it will unlock etc but f you’re looking for apps, they aren’t there yet. Installer isn’t even available. Cydia is but no apps yet. There is OpenSSH so far. Gotta wait until Installer and some apps are ported over to 2.0. Hopefully soon. Ah ok... I haven't been updating myself for the past 2-3 days. Been busy (and angry) catching up with the Anwar's case So Installer is not up and running yet on 2.0. They are just too many apps I'll be missing. Probably should wait for them to be ported 1st. And since that my debit card application is not processed yet, maybe i should hold on to it a lil. Thank you. |

Ok so before i take the plunge, i want to clarify some stuff:
1. I can now UNLOCK, ACTIVATE and JAILBREAK 2.0 2. There is no Installer yet, but Cydia is available 3. No 3rd party application is compatible with 2.0 yet Correct me if any of the things i mentioned above is not right. - Regarding the iTunes store. Debit card should, by right, is accepted? - Are there any differences between Malaysian iTunes AppStore and the US one? - I don't think i'll be buying movies and music, so only the AppStore matters to me. But anyway, if I were to buy movies and music, can I switch to US Store (also changed my billing address to Cupertino as suggested by Stringfellow) but still use my Malaysian debit card? Did you try Installer.app instead of Cydia? By the way, a good guide for all: http://www.modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php/Pwnage_2.0_Guide I still hope somebody could answer my previous questions about the iTunes Store. This post has been edited by zc_squash: Jul 20 2008, 11:32 PM |

Yes, it is a VISA debit card. I hope it works. I don't wanna trouble an acquaintance to be getting gift cards for me all the time. But looks like I'll have to wait til Pwnage is release for Windows. My hackintosh refuses to recognize any USB disk. Great. I need a MacBook. Somebody help! =.=" |

I remember in 1.1.4, different BL version could mean either we are able to use the Locate Me function or not in Maps. What is it like now in 2.0? What are the differences?

Unless these apps are ported to 2.0 already, then no. |

I'll definitely wait til the proper version for Windows before i switch to 2.0. My Hackintosh hasn't been very cooperative. The USB drive decided to screw up when i need it the most.
But anyway about Push. My company is using the Exchange Server. Assuming that i've properly setup the mail configurations, i should just enable my EDGE and i'll be notified of any new emails in my inbox, rite? Or there Are other things that need to be done to get this to work? |
