u must restart many times until you get the excellent ip address...
u know its excellent by surfing and browsing,if its fast,ur ip is excellent....
if not,try to restart again.. thats why i advise you to don't turn off your modem after get the nice ip...

hello amir, ok la like this. ALMOST ALL STREAMYX USERS (in this forum) know this method, i even do marathon daily to get good ip.

and now its slow because international link got problem. not because ip it is caused by isp

bro, regardless of IP you get, it'll last about 3-4hrs before you get disconnected automatically. Besides, the 'quality' of the IP address is quite dynamic ie. today for my area certain IP is good, but tomorrow it can be bad.

Its not exactly 'always-on-broadband' if you need to disconnect and reconnect is it?

the ts just made me lol'd hard for the first time in couple of days. if u are just trying to help, i would say tyvm but 99.99% of us here oredi had that 'valuable information'. if u are tm staff or just trying to back them up thinking "theres nothing wrong with tm since i got a really good connection after resetting my router", pls go to hell and dont forget to bring them along.

I don't restart my modem by off an on again, but I go to the modems page and disconnect and connect again. No need to stand up and go the modem and off and wait for 5 seconds and go on it back and go to my chair again. sometimes, it works. sometime, useless.

For me, when i see my IP, i must see 2 digits on the first section of the ip, such as 60.xxx.xxx.xxx. If i see 3 digits (eg. 118.xxx.xxx.xxx) then i know it will be slow. So most of the time, i will restart the connection until i see 2 digits on the first section of ip. Don't know why, but it works. but today, both also very slow. slow until my internet explorer lag until hang.

yeah...it will reconnect automatically but it still on that ip....
the nice ip address will be excellent for ever...
its not depend on day...

dear Amir from Seremban, do you mind doing me a favor? open http://speedtest.net/, test with a few INTERNATIONAL server and kindly post the results here. if your results is really excellent as you claim, i would consider moving to Seremban as quickly as i could to get the so called 'ip address that will be excellent for ever', as i cant seems to get it here in JB.

i beat you seriously it looks slow but surfing isnt an issue....its when i login for online games the problem starts...DC all the time. Youtube is fine and dandy though.
