@melvintcs, that 4850 uses custom cooler thus cannot control the speed. if not mistaken it's using 3 pin instead of 4 pin connector thus it's running at 1%..don't worry...but y is ur card so hot? my friend owns the same thing but it idles much cooler than urs.

my friend's temp is 49-50c on idle...load i cannot remember but if not mistaken he did mention nv exceed 70c or something like that..Btw i think even modifying the fanspeed won't work..it's like the same as my 3870 zalman version...3 pin fan thus cannot see or change the fanspeed..ooh yeah, and i check ur gpu, it uses 2 pin..i think 3 pin has fanspeed control..or is it 4 pin @_@..anyway, try the lastest gpuz..i see u;re using the 2.6 version.
