I have explain this in the 1st posting. TQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION:
What is the differences between Fenix TK11 & Fenix TK10?

In the body & shape wise there is not much differences. The differences is that TK11 has a smooth reflector and a focus beam allowing it to throw up to 200 meters. Fenix TK10 has a textured reflector allowing the beam to spread out wider in other words it is not able to to as far as TK11.

Fenix L2T has max lumens of 152, whereas, Fenix TK10/TK11 has max lumens of 225. There is a huge differences in the lumens/brightness.
Differences between TK10 & TK11 as explained in 1st posting. TQ

Hi,

Glad you like the flashlight. In future if you want higher end type flashlight i also have the SureFire flashlight which is an U.S brand.
Registration of warranty is at the Fenix official website. CLICK HERE
However, for warranty you can also claim it through us by bringing the warranty card along (only purchases of Fenix flashlight from Gadgetworld2u).

Hi,

Nope you can't fit the clip to the TK11 cuz there is no hole to screw the clip in.
For TK11 there is a lanyard/strap included as mentioned earlier.

Hello G2U,

Thanks for meeting up and apologies for being slightly late. Smooth COD process.

I have never thought E20 will be that bright, based on its spec alone one would thought there is nothing to be proud of. But it has surpassed my expectation. Great product.

Regards.

I too picked up the E20 + Bike mount + Diffuser from your shop @ SS15 a month or two back ago.

I'm pleased to say I'm very impressed with the E20. Definitely surpassed my expectations - and I already have the previous older L2T and L2D Q5 Cree. Well worth its asking price (E20).

Hi, tq for your enquiry.

First of all do you want me to tell the truth or lie? No lah just kidding. tongue.gif

Anyway it will depend to which China flashlight you are comparing with?

As i do not have any China flashlight using single AAA battery. I will make comparison with the China Police flashlight we have which uses single AA battery (CLICK HERE to view the flashlight i am referring to).

Frankly, the china police AA flashlight is brighter than the Fenix E01. This factor maybe be influence by the different type of battery and reflector of the flashlight. Also the police AA flashight is twice the size of Fenix E01. Well the Fenix E01 of course has the body quality. The Fenix E01 is only for short distance lighting (useless for far range).

It all depends on what you need & want. The Fenix E01 is small in terms of size hence its a lot lighter. Also the E01 flashlight is suitable as a gift and as keychain.

For better understanding you are welcomed to drop by at our shop in SS15 Subang Jaya (CLICK HERE FOR MAP) to view the flashlight and make comparison. TQ

TK10 has the widest lighting however can't throw far, yup something like P2D.
TK11 does not have wide angle lighting however, they have focus lighting that why it can throw 200m.
TK20 has slight wide angle lighting and can throw far of 150m

i think those bulbs are for the mini AA lights. Its a krypton based bulb. If u want slightly whiter light get xenon bulb. If u want really pure white get the LED. Fenix is a good choice.

Gadget,

Last 2 weeks (18.10.2008) went 2 your shop and bought TK20, L1D (no stock for L2D at that time) and 1 "Police Germany" 18W. Now back to Sarawak after spending 2 weeks there, I play with my new toys every night. Wowww... notworthy.gif TK20 really impressed me. Can't wait for my next hunting trip with TK20. That neutral white (Yellowish) won't scare the animal.

Actually during my visit to your shop 4 of my friends bought that "Police Germany" 18W. They just realised that flashlight can become a collection.

So sad to see your posting about the new model for Fenix PD30/20 and LD20/10 coz at that time these model are not available. hmm.gif Wonder when can I try those new model. Anyway a guy name Danny is very helpful... nice guy

Danny had mentioned that got customer flew all the way from Sarawak just to buy the Fenix flashlight. I was like shocking.gif
So far had several customers came all the way from JB, Perak, etc. First time for Sarawak hehe

Yup Tk20 no doubt is a good flashlight. The Fenix new series was not confirmed at that point of time and stock was expected to arrive around beginning of Nov as advised by supplier instead came in much sooner. Maybe next time if you come over to KL for holiday you can drop by anytime. biggrin.gif

Fenix is only manufacturing 1 batch of these LD01 stainless steel edition specially for Christmas, once gone it's gone.

This limited edition LD01 price yet to be confirmed. Correct 1 x AAA. Besides the flashlight there will be clip, key-ring & spare o-ring. For specs pls refer to my 1st posting under coming up section/refer to the official website www.fenixlight.com

This year Fenix will not be doing any promotional packages. sad.gif

I think it be higher price than L0D cuz like the new models LD & PD series supplier price up alrdy and currency exchange rate will influence the price. At the moment price not confirmed yet, awaiting price quotation from supplier should know within these few days. But the limited edition stainless steel LD01 price is expected to be higher than the LD01 black.

At the moment i can't confirm will TK40 be available to Asian market as Fenix is catering more to European market. Like the Fenix TK11 R2 edition we just recently obtain limited quantities for Malaysian market after 2 months the product has been released.

Fenix Tk40 price would be USD155. Malaysia pricing would be based on the exchange rate at the time we get the product.

TQ

Hi there,
I jst bid a Fenix LP20 from Lelong 2 days ago, but somehow would like to know what's the difference between a Fenix LP20 and a TK20 in term of lighting?

Izzit because of the throw difference whereby TK20 is capable of focusing out to further distance as compared to LP20's flood?

And btw, i am planning to get either a Fenix LD10 or a Olight T15 Q5. Any best price for them? Thanks!

Hi, the differences between TK20 & LD20 is LD20 light is pure white whereas TK20 is neutral white (yellowish light). TK20 will be able to penetrate fog and also good for night photography as it tend to bring out the true colour, see sample pic in posting.

TK20 will be able to go further due to the reflector head is much larger than LD20.

Sorry all our item is the best price already. TQ

Sorry to say nope it's not suitable. Unless you are using it for seriously close range lighting. It's more of a keychain/ladies type of flashlight.

On my Fenix LD20, i noticed the difference between 94 lumens and turbo mode 180 lumens doesnt really differ much.... So does that means a LD10 120 lumens gonna be brighter than the 94 lumens on LD20..? And will there be huge noticeable difference..?

Coz i find 94 lumens good enough for me on most EDC task...so if 120's gonna be noticeably brighter, then LD10 seems like a a steal....

There is lots of difference if it's night time/full darkness. You won't notice much difference if there is reasonable amount of light.

Probably try changing to new set of batteries. Once your battery power drops to 50% your light output will drop also. If 60%-100% your light output will be at 100%.

I still can't decide which one to buy.
LD20 x2
LD20 + D20 R2
TK40

fyi, i already have L2D Q5 & LD20. Both are great lights.After 1 week+ I sold the LD20 to a friend of mine. LD20 is a good light, going to buy another LD20 / D20 R2 / LD20 R2 ?

I see. Still this you have to decide yourself. Perhaps wait for TK40 to come in then if you are around the area you can drop by at the shop to see, from there only decide what you want to get. icon_rolleyes.gif

In my opinion since you have one L2D perhaps you can go for a pocket size flashlight or perhaps a bigger & powerful flashlight. Just my suggestion.

On the TK40, it says :

• Uses eight 1.5V AA (Alkaline, Ni-MH) batteries(4 AA batteries is available in emergency)

Meaning only 4 batteries will be used for normal usage...while remaining 4 is being kept for emergency use..? A bit blur here..

Sorry i can't confirm anything yet as i don't have a unit to try it out as well. But from my guess, the emergency use is only for the high 277 lumens & below if you try to use it for turbo mode 630 lumens either can't be use or the battery will drain super fast. This is what i think only.

Hi, to answer to your battery question first. If you do some research Li-ion batteries will never leak. Normal AA & AAA battery will surely leak however did you notice that nimh rechargeable battery doesn't leak too. As for surefire all the flashlights are using CR123A which is Li-ion that's why no such leakage will happen. Fenix also the same thing using Li-ion unless those AA or AAA supported flashlight.

Secondly, regarding price is only RM5 difference this is not a humongous difference. If it's RM50 difference i myself would be questioning Fenix themselves. If you spend 5 minutes of your time to do some reading & research again. Fenix TK11 is meant for distance throw and TK11 is able to support 18650, 17670 & CR123 battery and this model is favourite choice in tactical use. Whereas TK12 is more for general use meant for close distance only and it only support 17670 or CR123 battery, if you want TK12 to support 18650 battery you will have to purchase a separate tube.

Hi, thank you for the feedback. Glad to serve you. smile.gif

To open the back tailcap, you see there is 2 holes there basically you will a sharp nose plyer insert it into the 2 holes and unscrew it out. Then you can change to the orange tailcap. If you still don't know how to do it then no choice you will have to bring it to the shop we can help you change. TQ

Oh ya forgot to mention do not use with any rechargeable nimh 2500mAh or higher, it seems that Fenix E20 has compatability issue with this mAh power. If 2000mAh or lower it's no problem.

Ermm...there is no official upgrade from Fenix. Unless you are able to DIY yourself but once you do any modification to the flashlight the warranty will be void. Or perhaps you can get Xenon flashlight from philightsophy, just do a search he is a LYN seller also.

Yes sure. I remember ur ID cause so special. biggrin.gif

For Fenix E20 it's only recommended to use 2000mAh and below. Some customer tried above 2000mAh and ended up the LED circuit board blow, they knew about the 2000mAh & below but they wanted to give it a try still. sweat.gif

Normal alkaline usually 1000+ mAh, energizer max & eveready are fine.

For rechargeable, Eneloop & certain GP have 2000mAh & below. As far i know is this two brands, others you will have to check on the specs.

So far the best is either Eneloop or Sony Recycko. The different of this 2 brand of battery compared with other brands is that these batteries can maintain it's power despite being storage for 1 year example eneloop after 1year it will retain 85% of it's power. Unlike Energizer rechargeable & GP from what i experience after charging it and kept aside for 1-2 weeks the power will deplete or can't even power up your device.

We don't carry Sony brand, however we do sell Eneloop. Kindly please refer to our thread, link: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=11&t=1241331

Hi,

Aiks.... cry.gif

Hope my guess is right..i think it could be the tailcap ring become loose due to the impact. Take a look at the tailcap, on the silver ring there is 2 holes there take a sharp nose plier and try to screw tight the tailcap. If it still does not work let me know.

Fenix E21 is still in production. Expected to be released in early Sept. The stock will arrive in our next order which is uncertain when yet, we will place an order when we are low in stock only. TQ

Hi, yes that is normal. All these powerful flashlight normally after 10mins or so it will get hot, that's why it recommended to switch off the flashlight every 10mins to alow the heat to dissipate. Unless the flashlight produces around 50 lumens then it won't get hot because it consumes lower battery power hence the flashlight circuit won't need to boost out so much power hence lesser heat. Just use it and see, if any problem occurs then PM me. biggrin.gif

Thank you for your support. In my personal opinion price is not so much the matter but most importantly is the service, for example cartain problems we can identify and rectify it on the spot however if it's electrical head problem it will have to be sent back to the manufacturer. This is strictly applicable to customers whom bought their Fenix flashlights from us. Moreover you can test and compare the flashlights between the brands we carry also our knowledgeable staff to assist you to pick the right flashlight for your application. biggrin.gif

Just doing the best we can for our customers, in turn also for your long-term support otherwise my boss won't be able to pay me salary blush.gif laugh.gif

Nice seller and very close to my campus. rclxms.gif

Not sure you are aware of the clip problem in LD01 R2. The clip was too stiff. It severely scratch the casing of my torchlight.

Now it looks like second hand product. cry.gif

Other than that it is still a nice gadget for me.

Hi, thanks for the compliment. biggrin.gif

In my opinion snap on clips have to be strong in order to hold on to the flashlight body tight otherwise the flashlight will fall off and get lost especially when it's clip to belt, etc. Even my iTP A2 stainless steel i got for my dad also sratch a lot once put or take off the clip cry.gif

The only way to prevent scratches is to make screw on clips, but this may means the flashlight diameter has to be bigger for the screw holes. So there is pro and cons. blush.gif

Just relating my own experience - buying from GadgetWorld2U (or Gedece Enterprise).

At first, I was rather skeptical banking money into their account first without getting the product. Nevertheless, I took my chance and bank RM175 into their account (for Fenix LD20) yesterday at 10 am. I scanned the bank-in slip and e-mailed them. Surprisingly, they acknowledged the e-mail and sent the product by 1pm...and I received it today at 12 noon.

Amazingly fast and responsive. Do keep the good work thumbup.gif - GadgetWorld2U.

For Fenix E20 is recommended to be 2000mAh and below. As we have feedback for customers that when they use higher than 2000mAh in long term it blows the circuit board of E20, hence to be on the safe side best to use 2000mAh and below only. TQ

Hi there gadgetworld2u, I've a few questions.

I'm quite a newbie and I have the TK11 (Q5). Is it possible to upgrade it to R2 or even R5? If so how and how much would it cost me?

The other question is, what are the major differences between TK11 (R5) and TK12 (R5) other then the max lumen?

Third question, is the TK15 coming? When?
Ooopss...sorry...just read the title. So, how much is it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Fenix TK15 is RM230. I'm sorry it's not possible to upgrade the TK11 Q5 to a newer LED, as the heads are all sealed and can't be opened moreover we not do modding service. smile.gif Unless you buy a whole new head, however the new TK11 R5 head won't be compatible with your TK11 Q5 body as the new head is using a different thread. blush.gif

The major difference between TK11 and TK12 is the modes, TK12 has 4 modes and they are present into 3 categories: category A - turbo & strobe ; category B - low & medium ' category C - turbo and medium. Whereas TK11 only have 2 modes which is turbo and medium.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Since cannot mod my TK11, then I'm coming for the TK15 then.

I think I've *almost* made up my mind on it, but, just want to get your opinion. Is it worth it to upgrade to TK15?

Thanks again.

Whether to get the Fenix TK15 or not is subjected to what you intend to use the light for? Are you looking for a light which can go distance or give you the spread beam for close distance. Kindly please repky me via PM. TQ

Hi,

As i don't...correction pratically never use light to check on car bodywork hence i can't exactly recommened which will be suitable for your task. However i know you will need neutral white light which projects the colouration better. Perhaps you can look at these few models.

Fenix LD25
Fenix TK20

If you can drop by at our shop it will be better, this way you can try the lights out before buying. Shop Map link: http://www.lelong.com.my/merchant/default....how=OurLocation

Hi, it only fits the models stated in the below pic. However it actually can fit in TA21 (better if you take off the cigarette ring) in the into strechable compartment however you can't use the velcro to secure hold it, hence it depends whether you are alright with it or not. smile.gif

They don't do testing with magnets so can't give you a confirm answer either. As far as i know magnet from hard disk is super strong it can even effect your wifi or television signals..so who knows long-term what it will do to the circuit board. This is better you ask the magnet expert, Fenix is flashlight expert not magnet expert which is totally not in their scope...

Hi, it only fits the models stated in the below pic. However it actually can fit in TA21 (better if you take off the cigarette ring) in the into strechable compartment however you can't use the velcro to secure hold it, hence it depends whether you are alright with it or not.  smile.gif

Ermm, by black you means it's the grey grip. Yes it's still available. TQ

Hi,

Currently, im looking for a LED flashlight (rechargeable or non-rechargeable will do) to detect scratches & swirl marks on my car's bodywork. My budget is RM 200 (Max). May I know which model would you recommend for my task ? Thanks.  smile.gif
*
Now this would be my turf....

I have the TK11 (Q5) before this and it worked wonders for spotting swirls, scratches, marring, blemishes, etc. But I had a little problem with holograms. Then I took the plunge and got myself the PD31 and, so far, it's been working great and if it passes the PD31 then 95% of the time it'll pass the direct sun test. I'd recommend it and, checking at the price, it's just RM5 over your budget. Just remember/note that the pricing doesn't include cells/chargers/etc. If that doesn't suit you, just look for something with at least 250lumens or above with strong/sharp hotspot and wide spills.

Regards and sorry for the OT.

If you want to get the diffuser tip, only Fenix TK20 got diffuser. The other 2 models there is none.

In terms of brightness, it's best you drop by to test and see then we can elaborate better to you.

On Saturday we are open from 11am till 2pm. Anything you can contact us at 03-56319115. TQ

Best to use with 650mA, it will charge in approx 4hrs. If 300mA usually for lower capacity battery, if you want to use this to charge 18650 also can but will take 8 hours to charge.

Thank you, if they are cool white, may I know what's the color temperature in kelvin for fenix flashlight? My main usage is to have many different lighting level so that I can choose to brighten or darken the place as I'm using for photography purpose. And the reason I'm looking for neutral white because it casts more true color of the object it illuminates. Thanks.

Hi,

There is no specification on the colour temperature provided by manufacturer hence i'm sorry i can't advise you on this. Perhaps if you can drop by at our shop you can have a look at the light yourself. smile.gif We are open today.

Bro,
I've got Fenix L2D which I bought few years ago but now got problem. It won't light up when switched on.
Do u offer repair service? If yes, then i can send it to u.

Bring the light along with the warranty card issued by our company to inspect. Please note only those lights purchased from us we will service however you will have to bear the shipping freight to ship to China and back to Malaysia and any repair cost involved as your light is definitely exceed the warranty period. Only the manufacturer can do repairing.

TK12 can use either 1x18650 battery or 2xCR123A battery. Whereas PD30 can only use 2xCR123A battery. Also PD30 is much smaller size than TK12.
Well on dependant on more on your preference. If you can come to our shop, then you can see & test the light yourself. Map link: http://www.lelong.com.my/merchant/default....how=OurLocation

Very satisfied with the LD40, great stuff, perfect for what I plan to use it for. Maybe if I'm crazy I'll get another unit to run a pair.

As for the TK20 I got along, seemed like ain't suitable for what I plan to use it for. Maybe when I get back to my hometown house, it'll be more suitable as it's a mini "Jungle" by itself. Maybe next round I'll try the LD25, pretty a slightly "floodier" light myself, maybe the TK20 has a little too much throw, looks like donuts on close-up usage.

Can't wait for the AAA Eneloops to have new stock though, will need at least another dozen of them.

Well.. Been a fanatic for the more regular AA or AAA flashlights as I don't have the time to actually read about the dangers of lithiums and it's rechargables. hmm.gif

Hi,

E01 is good enough i.e searching for things in the car. However if you want it to be brighter look at Fenix E05.

Hi bro,

I'm located in cyberjaya, since you have a shop in SS15 I think I'll just drop by. I have a Fenix LD10 body with PD20 R2 LED*.

I just want to know before i go there if you have these two items in stock
1) Fenix Camping Lampshade
2) Fenix Headband

I noticed that you have a lot of accessories/replacement parts for SolarForce. Do you have the same replacement parts for the Fenix Flashlights? Would love if I could upgrade the current LED from PD20 R2 to the newer PD20 R5 LED.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes those 2 items is in stock.

Solarforce is changeable because the LED is a drop-in module whereby you can remove it easily (same style like Surefire G2, 6P, etc) whereas Fenix are not drop-in modules so it can't be upgraded and you can't open to access the LED cause the head is locked. If you still don't understand what i'm trying to say, when you drop by just ask us we be glad to explain and show you. Here is a video also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgsUpRdgsp8 (see the head totally can be opened and the drop-in module is the silver thing installed after the inserting the battery).

These drop-in module type of lights are not regulated means as the battery gets weaker so does the light, whereas Fenix and etc are regulated and requires a specific type of chip that can't be installed into the drop-in modules. That's why you can't have changeable modules in regulated lights.

So the only way to change it is to get the whole head, but frankly for the price must well you buy the whole set better.

TQ

All above does not come with holster.

Anyway even you purchase them individually, these models Fenix LD01, E01 & E05 does not have holster. Only the Fenix LD10 is you purchase the individual package comes with holster, but the LD10 + E05 gift set does not have holster.

Hi, planning to get a replacement for my Fenix E01 coz it isn't bright enough. Finding for something similar to its size since I put it as a key chain.

Anything to recommend with the following specs:
Budget between RM50 - RM200
Any brand (doesn't matter if it's Fenix or something else)
Good build quality
Small size like the E01, so can fit as keychain
Furthest shining distance and/or brightness possible

Thanks.

Oh ok thanks. Was actually looking at the LD15 and PD20 too due to the higher lumens, though both are a little bulky. It's ok, I'll probably drop by your shop this saturday and hope to find the most suitable 1.

Hi,

If you want Fenix LD01 only sorry no stock. But there is a gift pack version includes Fenix LD01 and a purple Fenix E01, price is RM110. Link: http://www.lelong.com.my/Auc/Archive/Detai...tID=1077222&D=0

Even you buy LD01 only it's also same price RM110 that why not worth it to sell it anymore, you better go for the gift pack set.

TQ

Hi,

Noted your order in lelong & received payment with thanks. Will post on Monday and will update the tracking number in the Lelong system. You can check the order status by logging into your lelong acc, go to "My Buying" > "My Buy Now Order" in there you can check for the tracking number. TQ
