i believe bro dblooi's f3 is da best here in lyn, 3.7GHz is not an easy clock to achieve.

well, d problem is, there's no sponsor or someone who can loan d chip. too bad i only pre-own a 9550, else i dun mind ledin it to bro dblooi to test...

if biostar 790gx can price below RM500, i would say it's a must buy... i'm not a fans of matx, unless i get a silverstone sg-01 which cost me more than my quaddy...

790fx tripple cf @ 8x too IIRC... there's no such need for cf-x, cpu will definitely bottleneck d gfx...

that's d price to pay when u get yaself into oc... but u can always opt for value but decent parts, not all premiums stuffs are worth their price imo.

look at d positions in those database, all outta top 10 one mah... that's what we call lite oc. if expert i should be in top 3 ledi...

still my advice is stick to ya board til 790gx boards available mate. not only for ya current but for future upgrade in phenoms/denebs... if u get ta770 now u mite upgrade again due to cf, so what's d point?

from what i know, k9a2 plat is d one that can clock very well, not so sure bout d other. heatpipe could be ya oc nightmare as most of 'em (k9a2 plat & ax78) not makin proper contact originally from d factory. some tweaks/mods needed for 'em to work properly...

as for d solid caps thingy, yes they mite last a 'lil longer than normal caps, but for me they're more as marketin gimmicks only...

voltage stability depends more on temp of mosfets & quality of psu (+12v amperage)... (pls correct me if i'm wrong)

nope, u don't need those supa dupa expensive chipset cooler to cool 'em down. some tweaks here & there with minimal cost can do d job ledi. all u need is some imagination...

there's no such thing as 9950 b.e deneb. 9950 b.e still an agena (65nm), deneb is 45nm...

770 chipset based too... how familiar r u with asus bios? they can be abit tricky i must say... managed to get my hand on asus board when i was on s939 & intel 2140. generally asus low~mid range board not so gud, but their premium boards are really top notch.

it's still better than my scythe katana2. my case is too small for archilles. any tower cooler around 160mm of height is a no no for it...

for x2 oc on ax78, yes, v[NB 1.1] did help in stability.

r u toastin ya chip w/ 1.57v? that's seriously lotsa amount of voltage there...

previously my 3800+ f3 need it to be @ 1.17~1.20v for d chip to be prime stable.

if that's d case u got few choices... but it's all depend on ya budget.

if d temp not gonna kill d chip, d voltage will (in long term)...

i wouldn't prime any chip w/ 1.6V... that's too much to ask for...
