Okay , I've got the video clip from iPhone video Recorder uploaded, but after reviewing the clip, I realize the conversation going on in that clip is not err......"suitable" for general viewing. tongue.gif

I'll have to record it tomorrow, using my Xacti camcorder. Clearer than iPhone Video Recorder, and hopefully no ......"explicit" audio. tongue.gif

P/s: I was recording while I was in a cab, and the taxi driver was talking about his experience "pancing" girls and what made him marry early. WTF moments ensues, and the conversation went towards the more explicit kind. I just wanna record the GPS damnit!

Not going to do anything but rest today. Did a lot of things, went to a couple of places, met old friends and watched "The Dark Knight" as well with them. Got myself a soft pouch for the iPhone 3G in Epicenter Pavillion. Went to MacStudio and Machines Lot 10 before that , looking for a suitable pouch, and when was talking about the iPhone 3G, a story came up about a supposedly earlier iPhone 3G owner before me came looking to these venues looking for a case. Most probably a case of showing-off, since the phone this guy was having was an O2 UK version, and he was locked out of his Maxis sim. I was laughing my ass off thinking about this, probably at the "transparentness" of his excuse of getting an iPhone 3G case, when clearly he's there trying to get envious looks for his most recent purchase. The funny thing is, his iPhone 3G is not technically a phone at all, since he cant even use it here as a phone with his Maxis line, and force to use it roaming. Now THAT is a classic case of overly rich and stupid user, showing off, ladies and gentlemen! laugh.gif

After getting the pouch I wanted, went on my way to KLCC for "The Dark Knight". Brilliant movie, and deserves, IMO, nominations at least, for the performaces of the actors in them, particular the late Heath Ledger. His delivery of "Why so serious?" line still stick to my mind till now.

Tomorrow lah, I record the GPS clip and upload it. Want to just rest for today.

I guess if I'm rich, then Psyeo is rich too. So does others who are waving around Nokia N series, or Macbooks. The fact of the matter is, I dont succumb to price-gouging like some do, just for the sake of getting an iPhone 3G. Those who do, like the guy I mention, is probably rich, but he also isnt that smart or resourceful when it comes to sourcing out where to get his iPhone 3G.

It is not a matter of being rich, it is a matter of being smart. Knowledge is power. And this time, those who dont know about the speciality of iPhones in NZ, will think the way you'd think: That they are rich.

thats so bias..
the phone itself isn't expensive..
how about those who bought the HTC tytn 2 when it first came out ? 3288 ? even the 838pro ? or any other phones like HTC diamond ?
there are actually more phones around that cost more than the iphone...

no offense but i get pissed when people think like this.. i had friend saying i was a rich basta*d when obviously his nokia n95 8gb was more expensive than my phone....

anyway, right now i'm still waiting and hoping. parents will be going to US in august. dunno if they can get it back for me or not.. thats gonna burn a hole in my wallet..

You can log in AppStore and find that out. Some are priced at USD4.99 while the premium ones are USD9.99. On the AppStore , you may only get screenshots of the games, but do a search on Youtube, they have almost all the worthwhile apps captured on video to make it easier for you to think of either buying or not.

Dont know how the NDS version look like, but in this version, you drag your Bomberman by touch. Pretty tricky coz your finger is over him and you cant really see him, and the other approaching enemies. Salah plant bomb? KABOOM! tongue.gif

Takder Happy or Umobile sim, so I cannot try. Umobile got 3G?

Refer to my hilarious experience taping this while in the cab. The cabdriver was telling me his "girlfriend conquest" stories, and that got caught on the video clip, so I had to pull it off Youtube, scared he sue me later. laugh.gif

the very best and tempting thread in iphone forum so far i guess!! lets make a poll then.. haha

I have that effect on people. Last time we were in NYC, I had those who followed me to the Apple 5th Avenue, converted to getting new Macbooks, and buying iTunes gift card when they themselves never intend to do in the first place. tongue.gif I made a good case of demonstrating how my recommendations work, so the product that I demoed basically did its job well done. I only intro them to it only, they go from there.

Me too, I cannot bring big baggage to Auckland, the kind of big baggage i bring to NYC, customs will be suspicious. Once the Tumpang Thread opens, I'm afraid it's first come first serve lah, and depends on how many can fit inside bag. Damn, that bag will be the bag with the most expensive content I have brought ever if that happens! Maybe can buy one Kancil or Wira! tongue.gif You guys tak worry I cabut lari aaa?tongue.gif

Fans are nice and all, but in truthfulness, I'd rather have a good friend than a fan. Good friends are hard to find, much less a helping one. I couldnt believe my luck when I can find folks like Cocklea and Psyeo who helped me in my hour of need. And from my past experiences, inside this forum or outside, good or bad, through the years I've learned that you keep your good friends close, you never know when you need them.

Trust me, after you've been through what I've gone through in this forum, and that spills out to the outside, you will appreciate the support and understanding of your close peers.

Anybody wants this? Called Iphoneck, extends battery life by 90 minutes, but also extends your iPhone 3G by another 2 inch. More like iKoneck than anything. tongue.gif

Me? Do not want! You can easily juggle your needs when it comes to battery power conservation.

Yesterday's whole day use, with regular phone calls (with the news breaking out about the NZ phones, I'm not only swamped on queries here, SMS and phone calls as well!) and texting, and listening to "Viva la Vida" and "The Little Things" the whole time, then demoing the apps and games in my private TT yesterday, battery still have around 20%. Definitely shorter than the old EDGE iPhone, but manageable. I did not turn off Wifi when I'm not in area of coverage, but the rest of the recommendations are followed:- Drag brightness scaler to minimum visibility but still can see, use headphones to listen to music when possible, audio set to midway (3G iPhone have better speakers than before), turn off rumble on games if you dont need to. I still didnt turn off 3G, I wanted to see how much of a battery drain it was when it is on all the time. I'd say better than my old N95.
