Palermo 0 - 2 Juventus

QUOTE
Sissoko 27 (J), Trezeguet 79 (J)

A Momo Sissoko solo effort and David Trezeguet's comeback strike gave Juventus a 2-0 victory in Palermo.

Great win for Juve and we still at the 2nd place. With the different 9 points now from the leader sigh... Will Inter take the Scudetto again this year...

Anyway, match against Chelsea this Wednesday will be interesting since both team are struggling... Hope Ranieri can do something meaningful to the team...

I watch the match. Naah, chelsea control the game from beginning until the next 30 minutes. After that, Juve control everything. just that the finishing is not so nice as chelsea's defence are too good. really.

Juventus 1 - 0 Napoli
Marchisio 44 (J)
QUOTE

Juventus rode their luck to sneak a 1-0 victory over Napoli thanks to a deflected Claudio Marchisio effort, but Nicola Legrottaglie is injured. The visitors were furious when a late equaliser was ruled offside.

Juve coach Ranieri slams "childish " Trezeguet

March 13, 2009

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has lashed out at David Trezeguet, likening him to a "spoilt child" after the striker complained about being substituted during the Bianconeri's Champions League exit to Chelsea.

Trezeguet criticised Ranieri's tactics and insisted he should have remained on the pitch when speaking after Tuesday's match, which saw him replaced by Amauri 11 minutes from time.

Ranieri has lambasted the 31-year-old, who only returned to action last month following a lengthy lay-off.

"I feel a bit betrayed by Trezeguet," said Ranieri. "It was an inexplicable outburst, from a spoilt child, his words made me very angry.

"They are things you say in the dressing room, he might also be right, but at that point it was as if we had nine men against Chelsea because he had touched the ball six times in the second half and few times in the first.

"So I tried to put Amauri on so that he could run with the others and play."

Ranieri added: "We haven't talked to each other, we're doing it via the newspapers, seeing as that's what he's doing...

"I hoped that he would have gained confidence after his goal against Palermo and four months on the sidelines: I was giving him playing time and trust. I have always had the utmost respect for him.

"It's obviously not the same on his part towards me."

Trezeguet has been left out of the Bianconeri squad for tomorrow's match against Bologna with a muscle strain.

Amauri will also be absent after injuring a muscle in his thigh which is set to sideline him for at least a month.

Giovinco-Cassano swap suggested
QUOTE
Juventus are reportedly planning a summer assault for Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano and could even offer co-ownership of Sebastian Giovinco.

The Bianconeri have made no secret of their admiration for former Real Madrid man Cassano.

However, Doria sporting director Beppe Marotta has ruled out any transfer involving the Bari native.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Juve may try and use rising star Giovinco as bait by offering co-ownership of the 'Atomic Ant' as well as £12m.

There are reports that the two clubs conducted preliminary negotiations last month and that Samp are willing to consider the deal.

While the Bianconeri are clearly determined to lure Cassano, it remains to be seen whether they would be willing to loosen their grip on Giovinco, who is widely regarded as a key man in the club's future.sos..

1-4 wins againts Roma was very good result. Iaquinta shows good form now, a sure headache for Ranieri if all strikers are fit.

Great to win such a important game. That the only way to secure our 2nd place and hopefully we can close our point gap with Inter.

Giovinco a born leader

If on Saturday it was Lorenzo Ariaudo who brought Casiraghi’s Under 21 squad back on track, on Tuesday it was the turn of Sebastian Giovinco to score for Italy and equalize against Holland.

The Atomic Ant played a great match and even went close to scoring a second time. The Orange were the first to score with De Jong but Seba equalized at the end of the first half fixing the score on a 1-1 draw which is a very important result for the azzurrini.

Giovinco had a very good match and was clearly the inspiration of the team coached by Pierluigi Casiraghi. Claudio Marchisio also had a good match expressing himself with the skills of a veteran notwithstanding his young age but this is nothing new as the young midfielder has already become an important point of reference in Ranieri’s squad.
