last nite game was horrible ...they should sack ranieri ..
Added on October 10, 2008, 8:44 amJuventus are reportedly ready to table a January offer for Ivory Coast international Yaya Touré.
The 25-year-old is reportedly unhappy at Barcelona after a series of rows with Coach Josep Guardiola and could be keen for a fresh start.
Touré is a towering figure who plays a holding midfield role and could add much-needed substance in the middle of the park.
Juve are still searching for the answer to their midfield riddle and Danish powerhouse Christian Poulsen is yet to make his mark.
According to Tuttosport, Bianconeri sporting director Alessio Secco has approached Touré's agent with a five-year contract worth around £3m per year.
Director Jean-Claude Blanc has admitted that the Old Lady will consider returning to the market in the New Year after a disappointing start to the season, but much depends on how Juve perform before Christmas.

Joaquin cools Juve talk
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Valencia winger Joaquin claims he knows nothing about recent Press speculation linking him with a move to Juventus.
The Spanish international is seen by some experts as a possible answer to the Old Lady's shortage of midfield options.
There were reports in several Italian newspapers that Juve sporting director Alessio Secco had flown to Valencia to discuss a possible deal for Joaquin, but the player is in the dark.
“I don't know anything about a transfer to Juventus,” Joaquin maintained.
“All I have been told by the club is that there have been no offers for me.
“I just want to have a good season here at Valencia. Things are going well and I am happy after my recent problems.”
Joaquin has played 66 games for Valencia since arriving from Real Betis in 2006 and has 51 caps for Spain.

Monaco to tempt Tiago?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
After impressive recent performances, Juventus midfielder Tiago Mendes has returned to Monaco's radar.
The Portuguese international joined the Old Lady from Lyon in the summer of 2007 but he suffered a miserable first season in Serie A.
Finally, though, it seems the 27-year-old is ready to show his talent in a Bianconeri shirt and he played an important role in Juve's six consecutive wins in the League and Europe.
Ligue 1 outfit Monaco were reportedly close to luring Tiago in the summer and there are reports that they are ready to step up their efforts in the January transfer window.
Recently Tiago was quoted as having stated his regret at joining Juve, but it remains to be seen whether he is actually determined to leave.
If the Old Lady continue to hunt Werder Bremen's Brazilian ace Diego it may make Tiago's decision for him.
Meanwhile, Monaco are also being linked with ex-Inter midfielder Cesar Aparecido, who is in limbo after his contract with the Nerazzurri expired in the summer.

Del Piero's Ballon d'Or dream
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Alessandro Del Piero admits he'd love to win the Ballon d'Or before retirement, “but I won't lose sleep over it.”
The 34-year-old is in the form of his life at the moment and earned a standing ovation at the Bernabeu after his brace over Real Madrid.
“It was a very special evening in Madrid, one to put in the top spots of my career for the atmosphere and the two goals, which were real gems,” said the Juventus captain.
Between club and international football, Alex has won the World Cup, five Scudetti (plus two revoked under Calciopoli), a Serie B title, a Coppa Italia, four Italian Super Cups, the Champions League, European Super Cup, Intercontinental Cup and Intertoto Cup.
One of the only trophies he has not been able to place on his mantelpiece is the Ballon d'Or.
“It would make me very happy to win it, but I certainly won't lose sleep over it. For the moment I am focused on what I'm doing right now and that is all.”
Del Piero was left out of Marcello Lippi's last Italy squad, but that does not damage his chances for the 2010 World Cup.
“Right now Lippi is testing out other players and that is not a problem because I know he respects me as much as I respect him.
“I would like to end my career with the 2010 World Cup.

Juve to reel in Rossi?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Juventus have set their sights on luring Azzurri striking star Giuseppe Rossi, according to Press reports.
The Old Lady have long been admirers of the Villarreal marksman, but the Yellow Submarine fended off their advances in the summer.
However, according to Tuttosport, the Turin giants are considering breaking the bank to bring in one of Italy's greatest prospects.
Juve will need to meet Villarreal's bumper rescission clause, which is set at around £27m.
The Bianconeri may have to beat some fierce competition for Rossi's services as he made his debut for La Nazionale against Bulgaria last month and is respected across Europe.
However, the former Parma man has previously stressed his desire to play for one of the peninsula's giants.
Rossi, who is under contract until 2013, found the net 11 times in his first season in La Liga.

Ranieri: Alex is like Palanca
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Claudio Ranieri continues to heap praise on Alessandro Del Piero and makes the unusual comparison with ex-Catanzaro captain Massimo Palanca.
Juventus skipper Del Piero has been on inspirational form recently as the Old Lady have sprung to life.
And Ranieri is reminded of Palanca, who played alongside him at Catanzaro between 1974 and 1981 but isn't such a household name having only made 33 Serie A appearances in his career.
“The current situation with Del Piero reminds me of when I was playing with Palanca,” the Bianconeri tactician told Tuttosport.
“I used to know that sooner or later Massimo would score, whether it be from a free-kick or a corner.
“It's the same with Del Piero because you are always expecting him to produce. He is a genius and a talisman and more than a reference point.
“However, everyone knows that one man can't make a team and Napoli struggled against relegation in Diego Maradona's first year,” he concluded.

CL: England v Italy in last 16!
QUOTE
It's England v Italy in the Champions League last 16 as Juventus draw Chelsea, Roma get Arsenal and Inter meet Manchester United.
Juventus conquered Real Madrid to win Group H, but were harshly treated as they drew the West London giants, who Ranieri led between 2000 and 2004.
Roma, who beat Chelsea to win Group A, have also been paired with London giants in Arsenal.
But arguably the pick of the round sees Jose Mourinho's Inter take on European champions Manchester United.
Inter were left to rue finishing second in their group after a costly defeat against Werder Bremen, but the Special One had claimed that he wanted an English tie.
The first legs will be played on February 24 and 25 with return matches on March 10 and 11.
Last 16 draw: Chelsea v Juventus Villarreal v Panathinaikos Sporting v Bayern Munich Atletico Madrid v Porto Lyon v Barcelona Real Madrid v Liverpool Arsenal v Roma Inter v Manchester United

Market: all out for Diego, Juve ready to pounce
QUOTE
The Bianconero club is looking for a replacement for Nedved and is set to talk with Werder next week. Ranieri softens towards the Brazilian: "Yes, I like him." Babel and Silva are the potential alternatives.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
TURIN, 13 January 2009 - The meeting's set for Bremen. Brema. The time and date have already been agreed, it will take place after the Lazio game. Alessio Secco, the Juventus, sports director will fly to Germany to meet Werder Bremen management. Why? To get operation Diego officially up and running. Juventus management will talk to the German club's managers to see just how willing they are to sell the Brazilian playmaker. This is just the first step, but the feeling is there is a (strong) possibility they will be open to negotiate. The signs are all there. It's true the player is under contract with the German club until June 2011, but relations between Diego and Werder have been visibly difficult for some months now. So, if the club's management is as open to negotiate as expected, it won't be long until they're into stage two and talking money. An initial valuation of 25 million has been made . Will one meeting between Juventus and Werder be enough to bring that down a bit? DIEGO'S REASONS - To add to the above, it's clear an agreement can be reached with the player. And, last week Diego showed in public just how well he gets on with the Bianconeri. Juventus has a 4-year contract ready for the Brazilian player, who will be 24 on 28 February. All that remains to agree is the final figure, although his initial request is pretty steep: €4.5 million net a season. Not the kind of salary Juventus can pay. But talk they will, and it looks like an agreement could be on the cards.
OK WITH RANIERI - Operation Diego continues. It's not a major assault, just a long reconnaissance mission. In other words, Juventus is checking out the situation. Claudio Ranieri has also given his go ahead. Two nights ago on the Domenica Sportiva program, the Juventus manager repeated that; "Certainly, Diego is a player I like." That's no surprise when you think how talented the Brazilian is. But the Juventus coach had more to say. Well, two more things actually. Firstly, that "Diego is a playmaker." Secondly, "I'm not going to change formation for the time being." Because the 4-4-2 works, there's no doubt about it. And any playmaker in a 4-4-2 would have to adapt. This means Diego would have to move to the left, where 36 year-old Nedved currently plays. In Scolari's Chelsea, playmaker Deco also had to move to the right. Otherwise, Ranieri would have to draw up a new 4-3-1-2 which would be the most difficult of options at the moment. Nevertheless, going by what the Juventus boss has been saying, perhaps Ranieri has been playing the club's game to get the best deal possible.
DIEGO'S NOT THE ONLY OPTION- The Diego deal may be the first option, but it's not the only one. Juventus has some other ideas up its sleeve should they come back from Bremen with a definite no for Diego. Finding a player for the post-Nedved era won't be easy. But at least they've found a few more options. Valencia's Silva and Babel from Liverpool for example. In the winter market, all that's expected is a quick touch up to defence. The long-term objective is still the Fiorentina midfielder Da Costa. Secco categorically denied any chance of seeing Brazilian Mattioni playing for Juventus: "I've shown no interest whatsoever in this player." End of story.
