i cant update my phone software

i can .

but i can't install any apps on my phone want to trade ?

they say my phone is up to date no laTEST firmware help
current firmware i8510djhi1

Uik.. how u installed the app act? thru ur pc studio?? y dun u just transfer the apps thru usb cable with i8510 as mass storage device? i seldom use pc studio.. the only reason i download the latest version is to update my firmware..

I encounter the problem just like u. "my phone is up to date".. maybe we have to wait for another revision.. my fw version also same as urs..

oo... we can do that ? i'm still newbie in symbian. been installing apps like how i do for windows mobile. so i can install if i just drag the file into the phone? like a java app ?

can2.. usually i just put inside the Others folder.. created 2 sub-folders, Apps and Games.. then after file transfer is successful u can access those sis or sisx installer thru ur file manager.. try2 first.. hope ur problem can be solved..

Added on December 28, 2008, 6:18 pmTried turning on my 3G for the whole day yesterday.. wow this mode really a juice-sucking vampire.. after half day minimum usage already dried up half of the battery..

Just found out another tip to save battery.. turn off optical joystick.. but i let it on though.. having fun using optical instead of pushing the d-pad..

Anyway i have an extra high quality crystal casing for i8510 imported from HK.. if u guys interested can deal later will post the pics once it arrives it my hand

Hi all Innov8 owners, may I know if we can use camera LED as flashlight?

Also may I know how to update Innov8 firmware? I cant seem to find Updater application after installed PC Studio 7.

Eh? I see you already used the i8510 userbar anyway you can't find the updater? if u access the software from the taskbar icon, right click it, and look for "Phone Software Update".. if your firmware is DJHI1 i'm afraid you won't be able to update just yet One more thing.. i think we can use 3rd party application for the led.. try searching for "verysoft easylight".. not sure its compatible with 9.3 though.. didn't try it yet.. hope this helps

Anyway my firmware is DJHI1, guess its the latest version right?

By default the phone cant be used as torch light? Need to depend on 3rd party apps? Maybe will try out some 3rd party apps when I'm free.

overall i prefer innov8, it has everything i want in 1 device

I don't think DJHI1 is the latest firmware.. its just that we can't update to the latest if our firmware revision is this one.. u can try updating your firmware unofficially though.. might need to have some skills coz scared later you will end up bricking your phone.. And ya u can't use the torch light function by default..

Too bad then. We will need to wait Samsung to release latest official firmware for us to update.
Or maybe they only allow firmware update thru Service Center?

Both phones has about the same speed.
And yes, C905 camera is faster than Innov8.

I've been using Innov8 for 1 week now, so far the major letdown would be battery life. As sometimes I need to cut down my usage for it for it just barely survive 1 day of usage.

Yes you can update thru SC for free, provided you have the original unit and warranty card..

Have u tried several tips i gave in the previous post?? mine can last for a day or two Besides.. what do u expect from a workhorse monster??



Unfortunately, IINM we can't access the 3G camera mode unless we are engaging 3G calls.. hope this helps
