dilemma here guys , i've got a choice between nokia n85 or the Samsung INNOV8 (i8510) in exchange for my (crappy) C905.

GPS is the most important function for me, so which should I go for ? smile.gif

EDIT: would also like to know how the battery life fairs. Maddies over here said the samsung could only last 2 days under normal use.

Nice..I had this weird dream that i was using Innov8  laugh.gif the current price that I get here in Penang is RM 2680 and RM 2650 for Omnia and both are 8GB sets, how much are you getting it for Corad?

I've been staying away from malls these past few weeks, afraid i might just plump into getting this phone..and I've been using SE for aaages, I wouldnt think twice to get this phone infact my mind is made up to get this just that financially its tight at the moment
*
was it a nice dream ? tongue.gif

hope samsung comes out with a fix for this fast. if not can't bring the full potential out of this phone

Uik.. how u installed the app act? thru ur pc studio?? y dun u just transfer the apps thru usb cable with i8510 as mass storage device? i seldom use pc studio.. the only reason i download the latest version is to update my firmware..
I encounter the problem just like u. "my phone is up to date"..  rclxub.gif maybe we have to wait for another revision.. my fw version also same as urs..
*
oo... we can do that ? i'm still newbie in symbian. been installing apps like how i do for windows mobile. so i can install if i just drag the file into the phone? like a java app ? smile.gif

anybody find using the cam/audio/radio drains alot of battery ? i can wifi for 2hours. battery only minus 1 bar. but using the audio feature or cam for half an hour pushes the batt down to half

Mine leaving the phone untouched for half day it will drop 2 bars... sweat.gif

it's good on standby for me. can last 4 days with idle usage (sms + taking short calls). keeping the battery cool extends its life smile.gif

i also dont like the fact that we cant change settings. like MMS i got pre-paid n post paid settings. cannot switch the priorities sweat.gif

I found that the biggest drawback for me is the LED flash, i used xenon for the past 2 phones and this a bit weak compare to xenon.. anyway can anyone tell me i8510 is using dual or single LED flash?? thanks  notworthy.gif

This phone's platform s60v3 symbian 9.3 FP2 so yes a lot of 3rd party apps can be installed in this phone just like nokia symbian. But got few users having issues on this though.. dunno why..  sweat.gif
*
it's 2 LED from what i can see. i don't mind not havent xenon since i can use the flash as a torch light smile.gif

i still can't install any apps. or if i install them, they wont work sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif
