my housemate was like ure brother.always trying his luck at the winxp password.just make the password harder to guess.
use numbers and small/big caps.

A bit OT, but honestly speaking, even if your bro has no access to the PC, it won't make him study more. You can't force people who don't want to study to study. They'll just find something else to do.

So you got to figure out the root cause and deal with it.

KEKEKE whenever u are out of ur house, just unplug the HDD and bring it with u... LOL

i'm using folder lock and pc security.
if my brother wanna play game.just lock the drive that games installed on that..
no problem anymore..
also u can lock ur folder or something else..

How hard the windows login password combination is, it just take about 5 mins to crack. So d other way u might secure ur pc is like wut Moja_view suggested.

simpler, take your power cables with you

set admin password
n set user bios password...
or the stupud solutin...
bring ide/sata cable....
very easy

change to MAC OS X

Or, can take whole HDD with yourself.

ehemm..this is one more solution..
take out ur RAM n hide it..so anyone including u cannot open that PC...

all solution above a relevant....

XP Pass - Just log into safe mode then can screw up the password liaw
Bios Pass - Just use eraser to rub the chip on the motherboard

Try using Acronis Partition magic if i am not mistaken. So when you boot, must go through the acronis page. Its like XP also the password interface. But you will have to go through this page before going into the XP pass page. Its sort of like a dual protection thing.

Worse come to worse, remove the hard disk and put it back only when u wanna use it. HAHA!!!!

u can see whether he still capable to bypass that new password on his pc..

it's easy to get your password. nothing can prevent this.
don't depend on default windows password protction. try to look for additional software.

you can have a pc casing that has door/switch locks so that you can lock your pc physically.

you create alphannumeric password your bro also can hack ?

haha, actually on safe mode can erase password and u use pclock when start pc , need unlock if not mouse or keyboard can`t press. i using before
