QUOTE(oec88 @ Jul 10 2008, 12:10 AM) LOL okie All Vios is CKD and instead majority of the part of this new Vios is localised... UMW Toyota is looking forward be the main Vios Assembler to supply the whole south east asia for the next few years..Anyway, choose the right choice before buy. I've done a lot mistake on my car so now I'm regret, it's too late because the money is already fly away. Added on July 11, 2008, 2:02 pm QUOTE(779364 @ Jul 10 2008, 11:02 AM) We don't assemble vios here in malaysia leh.All of them are imported from thailand. We only assemble Toyota Rush and Avanza here Erm... FYI all Vios are assemble in Malaysia Shah Alam Plant... Toyota Rush is import from Indonesia only Avanza is install in Malaysia but its in Perodua plant..I would say you should take the J-spec.Buying price is less so less depreciation. Most of the missing features except the airbags I find it useless. Overall, the J-spec exterior looks just the same. You also getting the same engine so no problem on the fuel economy side and reliability issue To Create under standing on Toyota Model Assemble area pls refer below Vios J,E,G,S / Innova / Fortuner / Hilux / Hiace - Assemble in Malaysia Shah Alam Plant Avanza 1.3&1.5 - Assemble in Malaysia (Perodua Plant) Camry / Altis / Wish / Yaris - Fully Import (CBU) from Thailand Rush - Fully Import (CBU) from Indonesia Rav4 / Previa(Estima) - Fully Import(CBU) from Japan Hope it clarify your doubt and understanding This post has been edited by ikarishinji: Jul 11 2008, 02:02 PM |

i went to toyota showroom in subang jaya just now, the J spec is not as bad as i thought.
the interior is black/grey combination. J spec - rm73k S spec - rm88k get J spec - throw the steel rim away, slam on a nice set of wheels. +rm2k - throw the stupid HU away, slam in a nice 2 din HU - rm700 - put on ur own choice of body kits + spoiler(included paint) - rm2k altogether = rm73k+ 2k + 700 + 2k = rm 77.7k = still cheaper than E specs. if u like, u can even go add in ur own airbags and leather seats, it'll still be cheaper than G specs, choice is yours. |

Check the review on the vios J frm NST's CBT section. All praises by the reviewer, Hezeri Samsuri and he has mentioned he can get 16km/l for FC without even trying hard, and cannot finish the petrol even after 3 days of trashing.
So convincing enough? |

FYI... Changing the rim to bigger size or other than original size will only void the absorber warranty... if u change the sportrim following the orignal size and specs, shouldn't be a problem voiding the warranty...
Toyota have rights to void the warranty of any modification done in the vehicle if the complaint that you made on your vehicle related or cause by your modifications made... |
