New Member Store Representative 12 posts Joined: Jun 2006	Are you waiting for WCG.MY game registration? Yes! We will be opening the registration for the following game titles: 1. Half-Life™:Counter Strike: 32 slots 2. Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath™: 32 slots 3. FIFA Soccer 08™: 128 slots 4. Need for Speed™: Pro Street: 64 slots 5. StarCraft®: Brood War™: 32 slots 6. WarCraft® III : The Frozen Throne™: 32 slots But.. CHILL first~ Registration will only be open on Thursday, 17th July 2008 at 12:00am. So stay tuned to WCG.MY Official Website!! Registration Rules 1. 1 player can only register for 1 game. 2. Once you have registered, please check your e-mails within 3 working days (meaning, excluding Sat & Sun) for the confirmation e-mail. Make sure your e-mail is correct when you submit your registration. WCG personnel will not entertain if you did not provide necessary confirmation documents during tag collection. 3. Please prepare a 85px x 99px jpeg format picture before you register, if your picture is found to be not appropriate (nude, distorted etc.), your registration will be rejected. 4. All registered gamers must collect their gamers tag on 14 August 2008, Thursday, between 12pm to 7pm, at Hall 2 Entrance, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. Failure to do so, your slots will be released to public registration. 5. For those who did not manage to register, be patient, should there be any tags not collected by 14 August, 2008, 7pm, slots will be released, so come by at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Hall 2 Entrance if you wish to try for a slot. 6. WCG 2008 Preliminaries winners are not required to register again, you will be contacted soon. Again, feel free to e-mail august@in2.com.my if you need any information. WCG 2008 Malaysia Championship Prizes * The abovementioned prize will be null and void if contestant is not able to attend the Grand Final due to any reasons and no form of compensation will be available. Other countries oso facing the same problem as well even our fren down in WCG Singapore couldnt even send all the games to the grand final. I felt that ur statement towards WCG team alone is unfair. Compare to all the tourney in Malaysia, WCG is still one of the best. All the tourney are facing the same prob but for omost 7 years in a row they still manage to send all d champs for d grand final. In fact they still held another qualifier for WCG Asia during WCG Kick Off to allow others to challenge the spot to rep Malaysia in Singapore next month. And all d champs are fully sponsored. Some tourneys were great in d 1st year but went missing years later. Some dun even hv a proper prizes to give away until they have to give sumthg which is only valuable during raining season. This is their pros. But their cons is the promoting part. I feel that although WCG is a well known event in Malaysia but the promotion must never stop. For example the WCG prelim. There were not much promoting done for the event. Most are thru the forums. Plus the WCG banner were only up when the WCG prelim started. It shld have been up 1-2 weeks earlier at each respective CC to generate hype and to let others to be aware of the prelim. Plus there were no follow up after WCG end which i find it quite sad. It would b better if the hype generated from the event will be continuously used for next year. This will create more newcomers to come and the veterans to stay. It is a nature that people always need to b reminded so the promotion must go on the whole year. Although gamers and the gaming trend were to b blame a part of it but this is sumthg not impossible to be solve. Gamers oso must take this opportunity which one day will die if there is no support from the gamers. But i would like to hear as well from the organizing team why the above prob occur every year. My final take, dun jst simply bang. Give constructive critics. Let them and every organizers noe what they need to improve. They are willing to listen. TO MAKE IT SUCCESSFUL, we need gold medal, this all depends on you jali and others hardcore gamers. as they already sent champs to grand finals, they expected result to be shown. after the result is shown, goverment would take initiative to promote electronic gaming. nah...i just luv to bang.....i wouldnt give any construtive idea, coz they would flame back. Do note construtive idea come from example.

So the next year i swear i'll join n gladly i did ^^ however the theory of fear is not 100% solely reason for the kelembapan of the gaming community. fear is just like roller coaster. it looks dangerous but its exciting to ride. at the end u either want to ride more or maybe for some puke... then ride it again. lol plus fear doesnt seems to b exist in the dota community. although KS has been dominating for quite some time, more n more new team created n join any dota tourney. why? its bcoz of the fame n money that the dota tourney has portrayed. with up to RM33k CASH PRIZE who doesnt want to join? the prelim itself gave RM2k CASH PRIZE. infact my fren study in UK after i show them the poster has already book an early air tix jst to join the tourney. lol crazy right how fear affected a person? this prove that fear is not the main reason bcoz if it is then dota will have the same effect as well. infact dota is heading towards the correct direction into pro-gaming at d moment. no matter what the prob is causing the kelembapan, there is always a solution. If u wan make a QUALIFIYING at 12.00PM..u must make sure UPDATE at the SCHEDULE N GIVE the INFORMATION to the GAMER NOT FOR THE MARSHAL.. That the reason i so very UPSET n Dissapointed with managment of the event.. This is a MALAYSIA CYBER GAMES is a prestij event..but the managment was VERY VERY POOR n Not PREFESIONAL.. thx.

New Member Junior Member 29 posts Joined: Apr 2005	i suggest, maybe they could've made smaller sections separating different game islands. this way spectators can get closer to the games to watch and there wont be like 10 islands so far away no one can see whats happening. for example : have a separate "game islands" consisting of 10 smaller islands of the same game with spectator area around these small island. better view of all the games going around. good for supporters and curious passerby who just wanna browse around. i doubt a bigger hall is needed, with the hall @ midvalley i noticed there was a lot of unused spaces in between. lol diagram BTW, which player/teams(cs) got to play on the stage today ?

I know from all the years I see/join WCG they will start all matches at 12pm yes, thats me, dedicated in-house instant messenger for cats. i think what he's refering to is that silly little brochure which makes no sense. on top of that, i dont understand what they did with some of the gaming schedules either, as their papers in hand didnt seem to match the board. and on top of that, some names turn up twice on the board, once on one side, and once more on the other (for example in NFS, iinm i saw Invinc_Z's nick twice). confusing.

RBxA13x Senior Member 629 posts Joined: Sep 2004	Yeah this could be a new suggestion for the management to improve next year's WCG, that is to let the gamers/spectators to watch all of the games being played because i think many of the spectators went there just to watch the games being played and not really only hanging out around the few booths. Could set up a gaming area as like how NecrosavaNt's diagram. I could see many gamers are damn bored just to wait for several hours for their turns to play and many people cramped to the only side to watch the few PCs from close range. This isn't a complain ok. Please take this as a good feedback from the gamers to improve on an event. No flame throwing please. P/S: Aih very moody now, eliminated so early due to cold and flu that distrupted my concentrations I should admit Benaldo has improved too and his defending was good. Good luck to all the others who will be competing again!

My Game Log 1st Game - Manchester United vs Arsenal(Roland) - typical Arsenal fan with their slick movement , but Manchester United proving to strong for them . 2nd Game - Manchester United vs Manchester United(Fei Think) - i hate whenever i play against MU ... donno why ... sometime I do stupid thing by passing to my opponent , and i did rode my luck in this game .. 1-1 1st game , 1-0 thanks to Ronaldo's late minute low cross goal . 3rd Game - Manchester United vs Barcelona(Spiderman) - The big one , seriously i wasn't nervous facing Spiderman , i was super calm and eager to face him ... when u facing such a player u have to be damn discipline till 90 min , 1 mistake GG already as i did which cause me 1-0 down ... luckily it was my away game , 1 game finished 1-0 could be worst if not of Henry missing a open goal at the last minute .. hitting wide.. 2nd game .. 20th minute .. Eto .. slots away ... devastating blow for MU ... now i need to score 3 goal to beat him ... ....45th min Evra jinks passes Abidal provide a super cross in Carlos Tevez heads in for 1-1 ... 76 min Rooney runs pass Puyol and drills in pass the keeper .. 2-1 , 2-2 on aggregate .. MU on "Gung Ho" mode .. Barcelona with a few chances on their own .. but the big one came late 90th min .... Anderson dribbles passed Xavi deep in MU territory .. switches to "Attacking Mode" ... finds Rooney ... Rooney with a hopeful long ball to Ronaldo ... which drop pin point perfect in front CR7 ... and no catching him from that place on .. CR7 .. Victor .... CR7 .. Victor .... CR7 .. Victor .................... and rest was history . 3-2 finals aggregate 4rd Game - Manchester United vs Barcelona(V.Pathetic) - Crazy Game , Van Der Sar with handful of mistakes .. ... i outplayed him football wise but tactical wise he outplayed me .. u can outrun his midfield easily but 1 mistake from u will never see a deadly counter ever ... long pass to Henry(who bribe the linesman) ... i was down 4-0 in the first half .. the only way to counter his formation is deep long cross in and chest down .. i probably have 5-4 ... 1 on 1 with the keeper donno what happen to Victor that time ... revenge on his last Spiderman game I guest Aiseh .. shouldn't have lost to "Youqi" .... i didn't not expect that from him as well ... , i think youqi is a carbon-copy of Spider , if he improve his gameplay surely spider already .. his long passes and defending is superb .... i did learn alot from a "Youqi" marking and style from different angle ... certainly one i will use at WGT somemore uses ( V.V.V Pathetic ) in the second game ... and V.V.V.V the next game ..if he goes finals his nick surely V.V.V.V.V.V.V.V.V Pathetic Good Game Youqi Prediction Bush vs V.Pathetic - > hmm .... Bush - > his ulti is "RAGE " .... V.P - > uses tactical .... as long u don't make bush rage u will have chances hit him last min ... if u score the 1 goal early then u are in a serious trouble .. his rage mode is dangerous .. if he yet to find a goal ... u probably see a mouse flying towards u .. We (as gamers and media) are contractually obliged NOT TO RELEASE the replays before the grand finals. For us (multiplay.lowyat.net), we have recording of all the final matches (except CS when our camera ran out of battery) and we can only give it to the gamer that participated in THAT final. This is to prevent leakage to other countries. Whoever had the replays and decided to release it BEFORE the grand finals, well you are not abiding to the rules, and may god have mercy on your soul

The media cannot take it from the organizers, but only we are allowed to record it using handycam or such. For the official replays, ONLY THE GAMERS THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE FINALS can have access to it. For FIFA usually they let the winning clan copy it (in this case w\|nds) but they are really strict about letting others getting hold of it
