Well, it depends on how hot your pickups are and your amp EQ too. Make sure you don't scoop the mids too much, and include a decent amount of gain+treble. But I don't think it should be a problem with an MT-2.

Of course, the SD Alnico II Pro is the holy grail for his tone. But it won't sound anything like Slash until you get a good tube amp, preferably a Marshall JCM800 if you can find one.

Yeah, the JCM800 USED is 3k+, buts its hard to find though. And most of the ones I've seen on eBay only deliver within the US.
