Hey guys, can anyone tell me what would the advantages and disadvantages of changing from stock 175/65/R14 to 195/55/R15 on a Myvi 1.5?

Planning to get Advanti Storm S1 series rims.

The only thing kinda holding me back is worrying whether the car would feel too heavy after changing.
*
wont feel apparent.since the rim is so light.below 5kg for a rim.
its lighter than the original 14 inch rim.better stability/handling etc

Even with 195/55/R15 tyres, it won't feel apparent?

The extra contact surface and rolling resistance is kinda offset by the lightweight rims right?
*
agreed with what bro 6ue5T said.

Yup feels light but quality not sure...they said tight the nut with hand not gun..if gun the nut won't last...that's the reason looking for other reliable brand...the pic below is the nut I'm using now looks like replica
*
yea..this is the soft type nut.not only will loose.it will breaks if tighten too hard.if break left the base on the rim but hole then trouble already.

my honda city 2009 has 3 - 4 finger gap after changing to vossen rim and tyre. can sifu advise how do i reduce the gap? chg rim or chg tyre? i m using 205/45/16 tyre and have changed to sport spring already..tx
*
205/50/16 is okay.but if your rim offset too low might have risk of touching fender.

QUOTE(NYC @ Dec 16 2016, 05:34 PM)
bro, thanks for your quote to my post, i am now looking for 4pcs for Kia K3.
Current tyre : Bridgestone Re003 and original rims - 215/45R17  |  7Jx17 ET49  | 5x114.3
Any suggestion? I am not familiar with the price range for rims, those selling @ RM 1200 for 4pcs, I am doubted for the quality.

my story: last week, i went in a bumpy kampung road, then ter-bang a big hole on the road, then tyre burst on the spot and rim bengkok a bit and get repaired after that. Then tyre shop advice me to get a set of new rims due to safety reason.
During my incident, there is another vios bang the same hole like mine but he got worst than mine, his "sportrims" broken on the spot. This make me worry of using those cheap/imitate/low quality rims.

https://www.facebook.com/pg/kingofrims/phot...137886246250464
I am just wondering is their rims original as well?
*
they do have original rims and immitation.u have to ask for his advice which one is ori but be ready to pay a high price there.haha.
original range choices u have advanti or lenso range from rm 1450 above which both is affordable. for higher range u can look into sparco rims price less than rm 2300(somwhere around that price) or up lagi can look for oz racing rims ultralegera etc/japanese rim like enkei gtc01/rs05rr/gtf01/rpf1 price range somewhere around rm 3xxx-4xxx
those rm 1000-1200 high possiblity is replica rims.

Hi Guys..is Thailand replica rims useable?
How does Thailand replica compare to Taiwan replica?
*
i have used replica taiwan rims before.quality is okay.not that bad.after that change to advanti which is more affordable for ori rim, love the light weight.
thailand replica i have never used it.but read those car club comment, easily dented.only the design/color looks close to ori type.

Hi people,

For the first time ever I'm contemplating changing my rims on my 3rd car, a Navara VL NP300 with 18" rims 7jx18 et45 pcd 6x114.3.

Is it possible to change the rims to Lenso Max 1 18"  18x9.0 ET : +00 PCD : 6x139.7 Wgt: 10.80 kg

Thanks for any advice, tyre noob here.
*

thanks, so its either use spacers or switch to 16" rims as lenso max1 has one rim in 114.3

16x8.0 ET : +00 PCD : 6x139.7 Wgt: 8.42 kg
16x9.0 ET : +00 PCD : 6x114.3 Wgt: 9.00 kg
16x9.0 ET : +00 PCD : 6x139.7 Wgt: 9.00 kg
16x9.0 ET : -25 PCD : 6x139.7 Wgt: 9.00 kg
17x9.0 ET : +00 PCD : 6x139.7 Wgt: 9.80 kg
18x9.0 ET : +00 PCD : 6x139.7 Wgt: 10.80 kg
20x9.5 ET : +10 PCD : 6x139.7 Wgt: 13.00 kg
*
yes..the only way is to switch to 6x139 which u will have more options too.
6x114 is consider rare tyre as i know.
