Ah V3, congrats !! Will be posting our (me & my gf) new baby pic soon, don't wanna disturb it too much yet tongue.gif Finally we decided to name our baby boy : Ritoru Boru or short form just Boru.

It means Little Ball in Japanese heh. And yeah its the brown + white color one. Was it from sharil? or other breeder?

Our boru seems very intelligent, knows how to poo in the toilet box d, peeing not sure yet cause haven't see. Currently seems to like apple cubes more than baby tomato, will try cucumber & parsley soon, we plan to just give him a small cubes of them only in order to avoid diarrhea. Boru also seems to enjoy himself sleeping in the foodtray =_="

Just wondering, are Uncle Taro Nutri-Smoothie suitable for gp? Planning to buy for our baby.

I think the smoothie not suitable cuz there is yogurt and boiled egg and supplements. It's made for hamsters, not really suitable for GP.

Little ball is not called Chibi Tama in japanese meh? Ritoru Boru is how japanese say little ball in english wor.

Anyway, my GPs don't like tomatoes of any kind. And cucumber don feed too much yah. Might cause diarrhea. Parsley they will like.

sweat.gif My Micheri used to love sitting in her bowl too. Now her ass too big jor.
*
Well we literally use the English translation cause Ritoru Boru sounds better than Chibi Tama to us tongue.gif I see, means no smoothies for boru sad.gif dang.. he still seem very shy with us, recommended period of time to leave him alone without picking him up/touching? Don't wanna stress him too much but of course his alfafa hay and pallet tray are always full.

Edited: woah this thread response damn fast... cant keep up lol

@jtl ur joan right? allright hope to see a good formula smoothies for gp soon.

@sharil_routh: the notty boy is from u ke? allright less cucumbers.

Actually just need to leave it alone for 2 or 3 days. Then you can scoop it up wif 2 hands, 1 covering the rump. Handle for short periods then put back. It'll get used to you slowly.

biggrin.gif The naming is up to you all lor. It's pretty unique.

Don't put too much pellets on his tray.  sweat.gif Will lose freshness.

@Sharil: Means he is one of your babies lar! Aiyar, ssemacam la you. I wanna see!
*
Owh allright, thanks for the great advice. Less pallets but hays allright rite? Since i see him always jump into the tray and eat the alfafa non stop =_= should be able to keep up with him. Ah Sharil baby!!! Hahaha but really la dat boy is a cute one. No regrets!

Edit: Actually my gf love the gp in sharil avatar haha

sharil... pls take back...
so pity... he is lonely~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Haha I pity little Boru too, from got friend to now suddenly all alone in another place. Do GP need dim lights to accompany them during night time? or can leave them in the dark cause i put them in the same room I am sleeping, dont mind switching on my table lamp (light orange bulb) so not so bright during night time.

Dont worry... for me GPs ok in whatever light... but be careful of sunlight... dont let GP under the sun too long if dat time is hot day... they can die coz heat stroke.
*
Allright so means night time can just off the lights right? cause they aren't nocturnal, scared they are afraid of the dark. Btw is baby chiko = My baby Boru?

Boru's 50% done home, pretty much a temporary D.I.Y type of cage for him till my other GP cage parts arrive from US (Ordering soon here http://www.guineapigcages.com/buycc.htm) since I have been hunting high and low for Cubes in Cyberjaya/Putrajaya/Subang without success, even asked my relatives & friends from Kelantan & Penang also say don't have =_=". Seems like my zoozone2 is gonna be his playpent while we clean his home.

Shots taken with w800 (very yellowish) but decided to post it up since its the only shot that can see Boru

Actually yes, blush.gif but our head is facing the outer side in order to avoid hair drop into the cage. And we put a bolster beside it as a "border" laugh.gif

@Rumizu & MooZz : Thxs for the advice too but I don't sleep directly next to him, we actually put a bolster & sleep abit far from him thou the bed it there. smile.gif

@gchin_st : I always believe the bigger the cage the better it is, more space for them to run & play or hide. Planning to get another male as his friend around in 1 month time hehe so bigger is a must. If I can give him the whole room also I would but pity I am just renting this room, next time when I have my own house, I'll modify one whole room for GP only tongue.gif

I see, thanks to all that replied. Boru is still very shy, running and hiding when wanna pat him =_= always look very scared. Pity him. Sometimes plan to just leave him alone but that won't solve a thing right? need to keep touching and sayang him for him to get use?

Yup.  flex.gif Don't get discouraged. Your love will get to him. Patience la.

Allright, I always put my hand in front of him 1st slowly in order to "tell" him I am coming, then stroke a couple of times and only hold him up (thats when I am lucky) but most of the time as soon as my hand is in the cage, he runs and hide =_=, should I pursue or leave him alone?
