Yes, when I reached there on Sun, it left 1 gp (my type), other was all short spiky hair gp tongue.gif
Then mine 1 was kinda similar 2 sheltie / silke, but jst her coat not tt long yet... Not sure abt it, coz so unbelievable their coat can b tt long~

Ok, I will try google more & thanks 4 ur website. Will check-it-out later smile.gif

Is it normal tt gp wil sometimes run / jump around suddently, kinda mad horse... ??
*
Yes, my gps will also jump like that (popcorning). Usually, after cleaning and 'redesigning' their cage and tunnel. Will jump for at least 10 mins with some purring. So cute watching them.

However, today i am quite sad to see one of my gp botak at its back (ard RM 0.10 coin size). Will take them both to see vet tomorrow. I have no idea what could cause it and to other gp owners, which vet is good in treating this and how much estimated treatment? I plan to go to 'Hand N Paws' Thanks

male guinea pig can get alone right?

2 male GP can get along if one is senior and one is junior age....i.e. one is adult, and one is below 4-5 months old. And provided the cage has no other female GP around.

sorry ....spelly mistakes...it's URINARY tract infection.... tongue.gif tongue.gif

Actually UTI are similiar to bladder stone and pyometra also...so as soon as you saw you GP got blood in their pee and poo...you needa start considering it... sad.gif

Normally if their home not clean and wet all the time then the percentage to suffer is higher.

this is what i get from somewhere else :-

UTI
Blood in the pee, squeaking while peeing, a serious and painful condition. A vet should check your pet for a possible urinary tract infection (UTI) or problem with the bladder or kidneys. A sour smell could indicate a cyst, bladder or urinary tract infection, or stones.

for detail can check on this website :-
http://www.guinealynx.info/uti.html

Hope these can help you..... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I just came back from Hands N Paw. Dr. Mervin treated both of my 3 weeks old gp, confirmed got lice and were given Advantage and fungal cream. Total medical fees (RM 43) and need to go again after 2 weeks for 3 consecutive treatment. The vet is such a nice person, informative and handled kindly the animal. For my botak gp, Dr. Mervin shaved my gp fur for better cream application. If everything goes well, they will recover in 1 -1.5 months time.

To ifeel100:
I have asked Dr. Mervin about your gp eye condition, he said might got respiratory related problem and asked you send your gp to vet asap. Price-need to diagnose 1st.

To other gp owners:
Dr. Mervin mentioned that lice developed some resistance towards Ivermectin, thus some of the eggs can't really be killed by this drug. So, need to use Advantage (~0.15ml).

Hi, good to hear that your gp came back to normal, my GP also don't like tomato...normally i just small chunk of it mix with parsley, Romaine lettuce, carrot, jagung, celary and green pepper... sweat.gif sweat.gif

but they seem dislike parsley also...haha..

for timothy and alfafa hays, you can pm chincillas because he got sell nice quality of it.price also reasonable, i wan planning to get from him next week.

haha..it wasn't waste money actually , just we can give them as much care as possible...one time for all the stuff only..rite.. tongue.gif i also gone through the experience, but as soon as she also like them, then no problem.. rclxms.gif

good to hear that too...m gp is opposite from you..poo inside litter box but pee outsiide on those hays... sweat.gif
