max, there's a software you'll have to download to insert those java games. Here's a tut on how to do it.

1. Download Driver & File Explorer.
2. Uncompress SAMSUNG_Composite_USB_Driver_4_34_WHQL.zip and execute Setup.exe.
3. Connect F480 to PC. First time you should be prompted with a 'device installed and ready' message.
4. Execute TkFileExplorer_2.2.exe
5. Go to Settings - COM.
6. Scroll down Port window: You should get just one COMxx option. Choose it and press OK.
7. Go to File - Connect. You should get the F480 File System Tree at TkFileExplorer bottom half side.
8. Go to /Exe/Java/Games
9. Create a New Folder for your game
10. At TkFileExplorer PC upper side select game JAD/JAR files and copy to F480 created folder using drag&drop or right button menu Download option.
11. Repeat steps 9 & 10 for all games you want to install at a time.
12. Disconnect USB cable
13. Dial *#6984125*#
14. Go to Internals (Master Key: *#9072641*#)
15. Go to Storage Settings and select Update Java DB

Me too
i prefer Samsung Omnia than iPhone 8GB
the price quite the same but prefer window base phone that can easily use anywhere
so far got no problem with Samsung phone
even nearly rot Samsung phone you can really rely on it
*
I beg to differ

After testing both , I find that iPhone 8GB > Samsung Omnia (Feel free to disagree saying that iPhone does not come along with all the fun stuff such as MMS). Windows Mobile is the main drawback , till Microsoft redesigns Windows Mobile back to be like a mobile phone (simple to use/straight forward). They can forget it. Sure , you have Garmin GPS application and other tons of applications , however the lag + crash issues are killing me. Hence I moved from Windows Mobile to iPhoneOS platform

As for this phone , F480 is a great phone. My dad is using it. It has big fonts (pretty cool) , nice camera and 3G front camera which is crystal clear tongue.gif

These are some of the advantages of F480. Its just a nice as a fashion phone or a ease to use phone tongue.gif

Oh yeah try Opera for this phone. You'll be blown away if you plan to do light surfing with this phone tongue.gif

My f480 is a brown edition..the firmware is F480DXHF5 (Asian)

-I cannot change the menu style to black color..(menu background color)
-The pic taken is quite blurry
-not much widgets

Update:
I successfully flashed it to the latest firmware F480XEID1 (Eastern- april 2009) yesterday

-now,i can change the background menu color to black or white
-pic taken is a lot better and faster
-new widgets (bluetooth,calculator,notepad,message,alarm,google search,weather,more widgets)
-there is keypad button changes (space bar moved to the bottom-left instead or bottom-center)
-the radio has the RDS function (it will state what station your r playing)
-phonebook has a function to sort by first name or last name-first.

That's it,not sure bout the other changes coz i'm still inspecting it.
-Just installed games from the mobile9.com..(mysims,madagaskar,fifa,..)

NOTE:
-It was quit tricky flashing the firmware at first..facing some problem intially even though i followed the step instructed..finally i managed to do it with a little bit effort on my own.
-this new firmware is for eastern, meaning that it doesn't have malay, chinese, indon language..but as long as there is english, than it's fine for me.

i love this phone, the outlook is so elegant, the touch is sensitive n accurate, typing fast with the haptic feedback.

scrolling at the left- fastest movement
scrolling at the center- moderate movement
scrolling at the right- slowest movement

Added on August 13, 2009, 12:53 am-i managed to get all the default wallpapers for samsung s8300 tocco ultra..they are very beautiful
-i have converted them to fit the f480 screen..
-so enjoy it..
