Looks nice... Was eyeing it initially, but was hoping for 3.5mm headset jack and WiFi... if got these two, then fuyoh!

yalor...becoz it lacks both of it n smartphone capabilities, thats why i think it kinda overprice, if they implement wifi n 3.5mm audio jack n sell at that price (include 4gb memory card n bluetooth headset) also already ok...hehe

well the F480 is a good phone except the 3.5mm audio jack,wifi i don't care too much cause i don't think i will be using it.It camera,music player and video player is good plus it's touch screen is quite responsive. The price might be a little high, well the price well came down after a while

As for Omnia it's very good phone, but i dislike the WM

Well it's a let down for F480 for not having 3.5mm audiojack. Wifi really doesn't matter.

F480 ain't symbian or WM OS phone right?

y so hate WM device, i think (base on what i read la), previous generation WM quite sucks n lack of power, but now latest generation running on WM, hv quite high spec, make it can run WM pretty nicely, with the likes os samsung n htc (n perhaps SE----> dunno they can succeed or not) customizing WM n exploits its potential to this level quite good already...n make it more user friendly (as seen on video on net) for average user/1st time WM user...im earger to test it, so can hv better feel n understanding...haha...hv to save money

so hope latest WM device can change ppls mindset on the WM device itself

hmm not sure what is it but 100% sure not WM. Neither it looked like symbian

i don't have anything against the WM device, well sometime i think too, the reason that i dislike the omnia might beacause of i am not used to WM,need time to get used to it. Anyway i haven't decide yet on which one to buy. Meizu M8>Samsung F480>Samsung Omnia> Samsung G810>Samsung F490 i will buy one of these phone not sure which one yet

Well as you said there isn't much different in F480 and F490, i like the F480 cause of it size the F490 is 240x432 but the F480 is 240x320 somehow i found myself to like this size rather than the F490. Plus i haven't tested the F490 yet, i might change my mind after that. That why i haven't decide yet which one to buy.

was at the roadshow yesterday playing with soul..f480..f400..omnia..

i like f480 the most..small...compact...almost feature packed.. but the demo sets there seems to be a lil bit laggy...
and i heard one of the girls said..bcos took a lot of pictures..so bcome laggy...but i check..only got like 7 pictures in it...not sure..

but one thing i tried is the saving photos lag...some online site said it took like 5 sec to save the pic..but i tested it..its less than 5 and much faster..maybe they were reviewing prototype or what..

i think the price should be ok 1899 with touchscreen..5 mp..
If u think this is over price..then Soul will also be over price too...

well the major thing that i notice that F480 only can record video at QVGA while Omnia and G810 can record at VGA.

Actually the TouchWiz UI on the F480 is lagging and stuttering. It has nothing to do with how many pictures or files loaded into the device. The good news is you only see that happens when switching from menu to widgets. The rotating screen actually stutters critically. Otherwise, the rest of the UI is smooth with a feel of 'iphone' UI transitions. The widgets work fine though a slight stutter and not as smooth as Omnia.

anyone using this model? how many email accounts can setup?

the omnia isn't that smooth as well... as a matter of fact it lags quite a bit as well... the touch diamond's touch flo 3d as well... they still lag no wonder how much ram they cramp in... especially the touch diamond where there's a dedicated 3d chip to handle the ui... i wonder why...
and one thing that i find about about touch wiz and touch flo 3d is... they are both not as user friendly as the panels on the G900, where u can remove or add in certain panels that u don't use often or those that u use often....

i start using it day 1 oredy.. kinda lag.. and quite a vista copy cat.. haha.. got side bar lagi.. i like the drag and throw feature.. like when u do background music, and u wanna end it, u can just tap on it and throw it in the side bar.. haha..

will elaborate more and pics coming soon.. testing battery life now,..

if u guys find this UI is laggy,... wait till u try F700 with qwerty keyboard. IMHO, that is even laggier.
