Henry's card is definitely a true Golden Sample among all the 4850s. Kinda curious what the temperature is though.

Palit 4850 Sonic, if you look carefully, the heatsink is the same. Basically Palit 4850 Sonic is "another 4850 Golden Sample". The board looks the same, heatsink looks the same. Probably manufactured at the same location as well as Palit owns part of Gainward or was it Gainward owns part of Palit.

yea, in 3dmark06 it is faster, but go try 3dmark vantage, u will see how 4850 makes 8800gt sweeps the floor smile.gif This is becos 3dmark vantage is far more intensive than 06, dx10 and so on, more advanced. Don use 3dmark06 edi la..

Yup, you can CF 4850 with 4870 or 4870X2. I haven't tried the scalling in games, but it works in Vantage, P14.6xx with single 4870X2 @ 825/980 VS P17.4xx with 4870X2 @ 825/980 + 4850 @ 825/1200 (ss above).
I have 2pcs 4850 + 1pc 4870X2 here, want to try quad gpu, sadly ma mobo only have 2 pcie slot sad.gif
