Sounds like he came from an alternate reality if that were the case.

If you watched the old wrath of khan movie, you will be surprised with an alternate version of certain events.

Plus unlike wrath of khan, an important character will be killed off.

Do I have to watch the previous movie to understand this? I did watched the previous movie but hardly remember anything. Is the bad guy related to the first movie?

Although this sequel may not be as fresh as the previous film anymore and may even be compared to Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan (1982) due some apparent similarities, it is still a thoroughly entertaining movie that's filled with a balance of action and humour. It's also perhaps the most visually impressive instalment of the series. Solid performance by most of the cast (the heck, Karl Urban's so un-Dredd here), particularly Benedict Cumberbatch who stood out playing as the antagonist.

Star Trek Into Darkness doesn't take us to where no movie-goer has gone before but it sure is a fun space adventure to watch.

Well, if you don't mind paying Rm 15 for 13 mins, then be my guess.

But it's the whole movie lah...

the 9 minutes preview was shown before the screenings for The Hobbit and other IMAX movies earlier this year.(alongside the GI JOE preview)

the advance screenings this weekend are the real deal. whole movie.
