I guess you gotta make up your mind whether you want a rabbit or a guinea pig. Cause i believe both need different stuffs and space. If you have decided, we might be able to give u a more accurate answer.
Cheers~ Wish you goodluck! |

NO WAY you can keep them in a box, so it's either a cage (a BIG one which costs about rm200+) or the rabbit sleeps with you. IMHO, don't get a rabbit. even if ppl gives it out for adoption, they'll 'interview' you first to see if you're prepared for one and seeing that you're only living in a room, i don't think they'll let you have their rabbit. no offense. try going for hamsters and guinea pigs or other smaller pets. rabbits also need a big space for them to run around. I think no one bother because you can get a lot of information online. you just need to search harder.
You can read the first post in Rabbit Thread to begin with. On the other hand, the best litter for me is Woody Pet pellets. Good luck with the rabbit in the room. And there is a reason why the urine is smelly. Most of the time is due to DIET. Feed good pellet like Oxbow will help reduce odor. Then again, if even before you want to buy something you already ask for cheap things, then I don't think your rabbit will ever have the luxury to use Woody Pet as litter material and Oxbow as food. That is why I usually do not encourage people to keep pets if they cannot afford it. Coz in the long run, the pet will suffer greatly. QUOTE(n_n @ Jul 3 2008, 11:56 AM) |

Woody Pet cost around RM20++ (dun know if the price went up or not)
(1) Bunny Basics 15/23 (for junior rabbit) 5 lb: RM 29.90 (Last 1 month for 1 rabbit) 10 lb: RM 45.90 (Last 2 month for 1 rabbit) (2) Bunny Basics/T (for adult rabbit) 5 lb: RM 34.90 (Last 1 month for 1 rabbit) 10 lb: RM 55.90 (Last 2 month for 1 rabbit) that's the estimation for the food IF you also feed unlimited HAY for your rabbit. For young rabbit: (1) Alfalfa Hay 15 oz: RM 19.90 For adult rabbit: (6) Western Timothy 15 oz: RM 19.90 40 oz: RM 39.90 If you have done your research you will know that rabbit's staple food should be HAY not so much on the pellets. yes Jason, the woody pet will turn into dust when it gets wet and when it dries up remains as dust. Very high absorbency and suitable for pets that pee a lot like rabbits. I have tried many litter materials before only to find Woody Pet has great absorbency. But make sure when you buy, it is in pellet form coz my last 2 packets are already in dust.
Also most rabbit/guinea pig food that cost a lot in the market still not good quality. For rabbits the best food that has the best nutritional value in the market now for me is Oxbow products.
