Our HDX 1000 is now equipped with HDMI 1.3a and capable of passing through the latest HD digital audio format such as DTS-HD MA, DTS-HD HR, Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus.

We have acquired the necessary license to decode DTS to avoid customers need to have a DTS decoder or convert their .dts movies. This increases the convenience for the customer! (To be added via firmware update in September)

Besides the usual enhancements available from our competitors, we have included both Optical and Coaxial audio and a 3-in 1 Card reader (Memory Stick, SDHC and MMC) enabling direct access to photo and music files. We are a strong believer in efficiency for home entertainment and it should not come as a surprise we sticked to our believe of having a fan less quality design by using an aluminium alloy again.

If I have this player, how can I have all the movie or music files????

Sorry if silly question, Can this player connect to internet and download from whatever webpages to get the movie or music?

Yes it can connect to the internet/stream videos from youtube and such/also can download movies using torrent/even downloading files with newsgroup(ur gonna have to visit nmt forums for further discussion about this part)...still I prefer to download just using my laptop/pc, a lot simpler
But damn...the new features for the hdx 1000 are certainly "kick-ass" worthy..got the composite output,not to mention they got dts license to decode dts audio..no need to encode back to ac3,hdmi 1.3 and the price is even cheaper than hdx 900, the only downside is the eSATA port missing, still I just stream the HD movies using LAN connection,
This is certainly gonna burn some more holes in my pocket LOL..gonna for wait some reviews for this player

What I would really like to see is a comparison between the HDX-1000 and Sarotech DVP-570X. http://www.sarotech.com/english/product/dvp-570x.html

The folks at Sarotech has added the DVP-570X with a fan hole for cooling, compared to the previous model, DVP-570S which lacks this fan. I know a normal SATA HDD will run at 40C or more without fan, even higher at closed environment. The HDX-900 review has confirmed this heat problem.

Would HDX-1000 address this issue?
