yep i did mention before other cat might become "danger" to small kitten. and also the mother will not be comfortable other cats coming towards their kittens.

that is the reason why cage become very handy at this point. the bigger the better. if you do not have cage, or do not have intention to buy any, just keep your kitten this way... but remember, when they grew 1 month plus, they become very hyper active... they will start crawling all around the house.

if you want to buy cage, the 3 tier cage is a good one smile.gif bigger smile.gif but ofcourse they cannot climb from one tier to another yet.. but they will when age 2 months a both smile.gif

ok for the cage is it have to be for the mother and kitten? or for the male cat?
how for long does the mother will give brest feeding to the kitten

ofcourse for both mother and kitten. because kitten will need milk from the mother right. you can take out the mother maybe 2-3 times a day, to let her roam around the house.
its very hard to tell when they stop milking. some stop at around 2-3 months. some even milking until 5-6 months. all depends on mother and the kitten. some mother reject their kitten early.. some kitten reject their mom early.

Yeah, I wish I can find a 100% no-fleas/ticks solution too, but it keeps coming back. They (experts) says, healthy cats won't attract fleas. Is my cat no healthy wan? Haha.

Even bathing and spot-oning will not ensure a fleas-less place, spray the house sometimes might not work. Maybe there's some effective methods out there that we haven't tried yet. So far all eyes are on that Ultimate Flea trap. I've read a lot of reviews saying that thingy works! I wanna try la.

Haha, I oso was a bit skeptical on that 'healthy cats = fleas-less' fact. Not sure I read or was informed by my vet about it.

Its from eBay. Tsk tsk, the 'nearest' source I can get. They don't even sell flea bomb here.

So what I've read, the flea traps seem to work like wonders!

only used that product if your cat has fleas. but stop using it if they don't have any. not too much of chemical thinggy on your cat body... the instructions even tell you how much you can use on certain weight.

you can use the fleas comb.. comb them, check the fleas, if you see white white thinggy it might be eggs.. adult fleas sometimes stick on the comb or fall on the floor... so do this on a bright color tiles or on white paper.. if your tile is dark color, for sure cannot see... if you do it on carpet.. even worst tongue.gif fleas love carpet so much eheheh

like made from wood is it? you can get wood, but not sure if the shop can do it for you. they only help to cut it. maybe you can draw the draft first with measurement.

but why don't you buy a cage? 3 tier cost below RM280. don't get the dog cage - its more expensive.. why buying? because the one that sell in petshop, you can fold it and keep it to save space when you do not need to use it anymore. you can easily sell it back as second hand. if you custom made using wood, its very hard to move from one place to another, and cannot fold.

adopt from shelter = you need to give some small amount of money.... this money will help other cats. yes if there's nobody want that cats, they will be put on sleep cry.gif

adopt stray = you adopt for free smile.gif almost the same as shelter but other stray won't benefits from your adoption. they will not be put on sleep ehehehe but will be living in the human society as day and night watcher wink.gif

there's not better one actually.. both is good in its own way icon_rolleyes.gif

Here are some of the reviews from people who uses flea traps from Ultimate and Victor. Amazingly its all positive!

1) I have an autoimmune disease and was worried about using chemicals so I decided to try this. I was amazed at the immediate difference! The sticky paper is just about full of dead fleas and my ankle bites have almost stopped. I am going to order another one for the bathroom.

If you worry about chemicals, try this.

2) I bought two of these traps based on the mostly positive reviews of the Victor Ultimat Flea Trap. After a week of use my two traps caught a total of one flea. In fairness to the product I should note that we had already been vacuuming every day for 3-4 weeks. We had also treated our apartment with boric acid and our cats with Frontline. Thus, the Victor Trap may have literally caught our last flea! I think these traps would have been very useful in the early stages of eradicating our flea problem. I'd recommend getting one of these traps and using it in conjunction with intensive vacuuming of carpets, thorough washing and cleaning of things or place where your animals may have sat or slept, treatment with boric acid, and perhaps most importantly using something like Frontline on your cat or dog.

3) I must admit I was very skeptical about this, but decided to give it a try out of sheer desperation, and based on the favorable reviews on Amazon. I've got a flea issue with my bedroom carpet, and have tried sprays, continuous vacuuming, boric acid treatments, and dosing my pet with Frontline & Advantage products. While the Advantage works pretty darn well ON the pet, the carpet was still infested no matter what I tried. I plugged in this little contraption on the floor next to my bed, and within TWO HOURS I've already captured 18 fleas, and can actually SEE them hopping across the carpet to get to the trap! I think this is a brilliant, safe, pesticide-free solution to dealing with those pesky little ankle-biting devils that hide in the carpet! I'll continue to vacuum, but I intend to keep this thing plugged in at all times to grab the ones that get away or are newly hatched. Don't hesitate to buy this product!

4) I've tried several traps, but the Ultimate is, well, the ultimate. Its a simple design, consisting of a bottom plate covered by caged lid that holds a light bulb. Fleas are attracted to the heat and light of the bulb (standard night light size) and jump onto the plate. At the bottom of the plate is a strong adhesive disk (buy extras) from which they cannot escape. Moths and spiders also tend to get caught.

It cost fairly at around US$15.00 but if you buy it in eBay it should be a bit less like US$11.20 (RM36.57). The shipping rate is a bit..steep, will try to find other alternatives to buy beside eBay. There's one in Amazon

I like the fact that people who use this product has tried everything like me, from fogging to Frontline, but couldn't get rid of the fleas. Hmmm, I might consider getting this soon. Just wondering whether others are interested. I think those who has wooden parquet at home especially face this prob.
