so if my line is 1Mbps line which ~128KBps max..... after using freegate, possible to exceed 128KBps or will still within the range of 128KBps....
*
actually, depending on where you are, it's possible to exceed tat even without using freegate due to some bandwidth overhead on streamyx's part
last time when i was working, it's possible to reach 170kBps using 1MB package
some here even get nearly 200kBps using 1MB package

wat the.....  i didnt even downloaded 3.7gb(17files) finish and it tell me i have exceeded my transfer limit, still have about 500mb for 3.7gb file finish...... 10gb daily right???

why is that so...??
what time will they reset the bandwidth??
*
you can also accumulate the 10gb per day limit
let's say if u dun download at all today, tomorrow u can have 20gb of download limit
can store up to 50gb, so if u dun download for 5 days straight, u have a 50gb limit on the sixth day

email their tech support lor
how did u get the acc anyway?
perhaps some other ppl using it?
did u check the logs for the ip and amount of data transferred?
if u see some unknown ip, probably your acc got hacked or something

i wonder how u all can get like 200KBps, 500KBps, 1MBps, even 15MBps download speed...... and im wondering are u all using streamyx or other.....

do u all mind to post up some screenshot about that????

im using 1Mbps streamyx line and i only can get max ~100KBps in total only....... using IDM (8 connections per file and 2 simultaneous download) and RS premium...
*
probably tat 15Mbps is megabits, not MegaBytes
if megabytes is really too much liao
but seriously la, a lot of those extreme speed 1 are either using company or uni line
like i said in few of my posts, using a wired connection in MMU Cyber, i can get like 4MBytes/s if not many ppl using the line
minimum also bout 1.5MBytes/s
MMU got broadband backbone of like 55 MBytes/s or Mbits/s

tu la, u gatal, 60 parts as in 60 files at 1 time or 60 connections?
as you can see, i got 15 ongoing download, each 1 10 connection
so bout 150 connections at tat time

The thing about using Internet at Uni is to avoid complaint. Once students starts to complain to the Uni management that the internet is slow, or even worse pin point to u, IT technician will have to do some work, including blocking RS or issue ban on RS.

I guess it's ok as long your download didn't cause other student's internet to slow down.

BTW, I really wonder what's the speed will be like if u download only 1 files using download manager? Will u get full speed of 4M or 10M on that download?
*
Hmm, i tested the other day, RS only give me bout 400-500 KBytes/s on single download, with 10 connections per file
anyway, my download speed is just a small part of the available bandwith in MMU
and I don't like hog the speed like tat 24 hours, if like tat 10 premium acc also not enuff....
calculating from tat speed, 24 hours i theoretically can download bout 335GBytes of data...HDD also not enuff le

QUOTE(cofin @ Sep 22 2008, 10:47 PM)
60 files split into 16 connection = 960 connection

tu lah....kena ban
hmm......if download 1 file not from rapidshare the speed something in the pic

what makes you think RS get banned by his uni? If it's banned, you won't see single bandwidth is transferring from/to rapidshare... doh.gif
it maybe congested like our screamyx line here, when all student wanna download like 100 files at once to satisfy their wild need for stuff on RS... go figure...
*
lol, maybe i din make myself clear earlier
i was just trying to say it's most probably his uni's line problem, as he did say before due to him opening 960 connections to RS, the uni admin did ban RS, and probably now they might be limiting the speed

are u sure about that? i was under the impression that they dont reset it to 0 but add 10gb more everyday. so the download total can be brought forward. meaning if i dont download 10gb today, tomorrow i'll hv 10gb in total
its aspire's hobby laugh.gif you'll get used to it in time
*
i think they are trying to say the same thing, just english phailed
anyway, current rapidshare system is like this
everyday u get 10gb to download; say if you start your subscription today, u are only limited to 10gb worth of download
but say if u nv download at all today, you can accumulate this 10gb to next day, so total size you can download will be 10gb + 10gb from 2 days for 20gb maximum
this accumulation system is available up to 50gb, so if you din download anything for 4 days straight, on the 5th day u will have a total of 50gb

btw, if u dun download 10gb today, tomorrow u get 20gb actually....10gb (today) + 10gb (tomorrow)
