Yes all region r the same and can be play on any PS3. But R1 version always got the fastest latest dlc or updates. Aiya in other words, if you don't really mind about all those net stuff updates, any region ain't matter.

sometimes R1 or R3 makes a difference, eg Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Genji.

NGS : US version u can chop human enemy limbs, Asia version can only chop monsters limbs
Genji : Japan version can see blood, Asia version can only see "white light" when figting.

Oh, i see...............Thx. U guys going to get any upcoming new games, please inform me, ok? So kesian me, i only got one game, MGS. Can't afford to buy games, so damn expensive, i wonder any pirated version in upcoming years like ps2 games which i can buy 30 Cds(each RM5) to replace 1 ps3 game. Anyway, if the game's graphic n sound unbelievable, i will consider to buy it. So, please give me some hints on which games are worth to buy. Keep in touch.

Added on October 5, 2008, 5:36 pmOh, another thing. When u all bought ps3, did u get any warranty from Ah Tatt. That guy said no warranty when i bought from him. Anyone of u already upgrade ur hdd 40GB to a higher one or just stick to the previous. So regret, just notice that the 80GB ps3 launched recently only sold at RM1599 free one soucalibur 4. The hdd twice mine + so cheap.

i have ps3 for more than 1 year, so far only 4 games (ninja gaiden sigma, risge racer 7 , heavenly sword and silent hill 5). 2 more have ordered but not yet come (genji and lost planet). i also owned assasion creed b4, but sold it due to not my type.
one way to save money is to wait for the price drop then only buy , especially on Play Asia, sometime they sell quite cheap. for me, i play the game myself and no frens play ps3. so even i play latest game, i got no one to talk to... sad sad. so i am ok to play old games.
also read reviews and see gameplay videos on youtube to ensure its your type of game. altho its not 100% accurate but at least u know a bit.
the best way is still download the demo and try out yourself.. sadly some games got no demo

i bought my ps3 from Ace Ah Hin. within 1 mth, the lens rosak, but he replace it for me(free). but like what the forumers say, his style is really depends one. he may or may not give the warranty one. he used to be able to recognise me so i guess thats why he warranted it.

sometimes u will appreciate more if u buy ori.. btw there is no cheapo copies yet for ps3.. and I think it's kind of illegal to talk about this stuff here. Mr.Mod might not like it. It's still impossible to have BD copies atm. Too exp ma.

New ori games now is much cheaper compare to PS2 era where 1 game might cost around 250-300 or some even more. Ya especially the Jap version. Now all the asian version are cheaper, less than 200 for sure.

Only some ripped off jack @ss shopkeeper sell more than 200. So the best is get from playasia or ah tatt lo.

Ben, if you need a bigger HDD, just go buy a 200 dollar lappie hdd lo.. have ah tatt install for u if u duno. IF u ask nicely he sure can help. Btw those who need larger hdd is becoz they put a lot of medias inside ma ex songs movies n so on.. instead of just gaming. If just for gaming, i think 40gig more than enuf la.. dun sad ya.. Haha

And here r some tips for those who want to put in external hdd for ps3 just for extra media storage (NOT GAMING)

haha i bought it very the expensive, RM2400 for 60GB. the cool thing abt 60GB is the PS2 compatibility (altho i don't play PS2 game on it. i hv a PS2). it was still the expensive time.. before the 40GB came out.

i've bought one BD from play-asia before... paid through credit card. it's reliable, they do send as promised. Only downside was that I ordered through normal post shipment (because it's f.o.c.) and the postman just left it in the postbox downstairs of my office in an open postbox... anybody could've just took it away... but luckily i got to it 1st. Anyways, i'd recommend at least registered mail where they'd ask for your signature to confirm delivery... safer

for me, the postmen always bring it up to my apartment unit. because our postbox (letterbox) is too small for the postman to insert the game in.

Then, better buy games straight away from shop, like Ah Tatt. Somemore safer, but of course have to wait a litter bit longer for the stock to arrive. What u guys think are the games ordered from play-asia will be more cheaper than the price tagged by Ah Tatt. I wonder whether Ah Tatt or other salepersons will just simply put a price without any decent thought just hoping to make more money, not to accuse Ah Tatt but u know some others may be.

no idea but if u don't feel comfortable, just call ah tatt personally for his best price then tell his guy that price was quoted by ah tatt ... problem solved?

From what i observed, Ah Tatt's prices are among the cheapest.

Cheaper than Play-Asia.

To me, it's the same, you go for free shipment with play-asia, you'll have to wait 10 working days anyway.. so might as well wait for Ah Tatt's games to arrive at his store.



PA is very reliable by the way.

I've never faced any problems with their shipping before, even with free delivery.

sometimes Play Asia can get very cheap products.
and they have 2 sales (April and Jul i think), where most items are 20% or 25% off.

i believe they are a distributor. so sometimes they get chepaer things.
