I dunno fella, but from the tone of your postings, you seems like the Joe who likes the looks, sounds and the blingin' factor of fast bikes.
Do you have proper experience in riding bikes? If you don't, then by all means... - go and buy yourself a sekon - han Yammie RX-Z, or 125Z. Why? These bikes got manual clutches, and the feel of 2 strokes is much better compared to small CC thumper kapchais. Why no.2? Sportsbikes, superbikes, motards : they all have the kind of throttle response most regular Joes are not used to...and that is why I suggested you those two bikes as beginner / learner bikes. Buy any of them, get them repaired to it's ORIGINAL state. Just change the final sprocket if you need to, tune the STOCK carb to it's max potential and fit a quick / fast throttle setup. Don't forget, fit some quality tyres [ they'll look somewhat rounded and have way less threads compared to normal tyres ] too. Then get used to daily riding [ clutch balancing, body shift balancing ]. Afterwards, tryout some corners. Then when you are competent enough, go layan some twisty roads. When you have really mastered, and have finally wrung out every last blood from the stroker kapchai, buy yourself something like Honda NSR 150. This will be your beginner SIC bike. Again, with the NSR, repair to ORIGINAL state, tune the STOCK carb, fit nice tyres for corner - carving fun. Buy a cheapo leather suit, full face, gloves and boots. Go learn SIC until you'll be comfortable, no more losing front tyre into corners lar, kenot drag your boots sliders lah etc. ONLY AFTER ALL THIS, should you think about bikes like Yammie TZR 250 3XV and Aprilia RS250 [ this one in particular can be a very scary bike to ride ]. This may take over a year, but I promise you, when you finally buy that super - slim, very - little - fairing - covers, very - thick - rear - tyre, 260 kph top speed sportsbikes....you won't end up crashing the bike, you won't end up getting suckered into letting fellas riding smaller CC bikes overtake you deep in corner 14 at SIC, you will thoroughly enjoy riding the bike etc. Ah, miss riding my pal's 748R. Yea I got very low knowledge on superbikes. I'll take note on that. Thx for the advice. Means basically not anyone can handle those superbikes?Do you have proper experience in riding bikes? QUOTE(kurtkob78 @ Jul 2 2008, 07:50 PM) 250cc bike now can get for rm20800 for new bike. yup, i just went to the bike shop to check out the new 2008 ninja 250r..650cc can get for around 29k - cc injection naked bike. compared to my old zzr 250 there are several obvious improvement such as: 1. wider front rims 2.75" compared to 2.15" tho the rear rims are of the same width 3.5" 2. lower redline 13k compared to 14k -> both bike engine are the same with the same behaviour of producing low torque and hp after 12k rpm 3. higher seat height -> this one will give u a sportier riding position 4. lighter frame 5. double seats to give the bike more sportbike looks 6. dual 60w front light compared to single 60w so that u can ride safely at night -> even 60w is bright 7. a new 2-1 exhaust system compared to 2-2 which should give a higher top speed 8. a bit lighter than zzr 250 9. a quite good stock tyre tho it's irc but the tyre compound is quite soft, infact softer than the bt-090 that i currently use 10. engine and chassis are made in japan so reliability and durability is not an issue here that's all i can say about this bike, so for 1st timers who are eager to ride big bikes, the ninja 250r is a good bike to start This post has been edited by ben_panced: Jul 3 2008, 10:53 AM |

i really hope that u start from the low ranking bike first or u will kill urself
its not a "expensive" car with amazing "power" superbike is much more than that. u make 1 mistake, and u are dead i really think 1000 bike too much for on the road owh yeah I personally (READ THAT WORD!!!) u not to start with any 250 bike if u start with 250 4stroker u will be VERY LAZZYYYY just my 2 cent Added on July 6, 2008, 1:07 am QUOTE(poyo @ Jun 28 2008, 08:23 AM) you won't end up getting suckered into letting fellas riding smaller CC bikes overtake you deep in corner 14 at SIC, this i dont agree. SIC mainly has two part, high speed corners and technical. on the technical side even u mastered ur ducati desmosedici u will have hard time keeping up to those 2stroker 150 and below expert Ah, miss riding my pal's 748R. try follow cub prix boy coner 14 for me combine both, u need power to get out quickly and u need tight line starting from turn 9 This post has been edited by EyraYus: Jul 6 2008, 01:11 AM |
