I've been in alot of petshops in Penang but i have yet to find a sable banded syrian. All i see are those gold ones.

Anyway i read somewhere...that to attract a runaway hamster you can take a tall tupperware (taller than your hamster la) place a cushion below and its favourite food, place a ladder leading up to the tupperware and set it in a corner

Apparently hamsters will smell the food and fall into the tupperware container (hence the cushion).

Good luck to your friend !

Me and sangels bought our solid sable from Chew Thean Yeang Aquarium (CTY Aquarium) earlier this year when we went to Penang for holiday. We also bought solid cream and solid golden from the same place.

Now we only left the solid cream as the solid golden died due to wet tail and the solid sable escaped from his 2 feet tank.

One good thing about CTY is that they feed fresh veges to their small animals. We saw in 3 days they were feeding them fresh veges in the evening.

I see, no offence but won't the solid sable looks a bit like longkang tikus ar ?  sweat.gif

Actually depends on the structure of the hamster you got. If you can get a really good structured syrian with bear bear look then it won't look like a mouse or rat for a solid sable.

Unless you got a not good structured solid black syrian then I can say looks abit like a rat without it's tail. We used have a black banded syrian with a sharp structured face.

Nezu wanted to a bulk for Kaytee Aspen when everyone was asking her about it but in the end no one wanted to order when Nezu offered in her bulk order.

Absolutely nice work! I am thinking to make 1 something like this for my pet as well. smile.gif  Take how long for you to make it?

Don't think he or she made this habitat for their hamster. I think its those overseas pet owners who made this. See the link at the bottom of the picture.

Its look nice and all but I think cleaning it will be a pain.

Actually your "heavy weight champion" Roche can't grow big any further. Same like our SamSam and TimTim. Their weight is at 80+- grams. Till now we can't get their weight up to 90 grams. Let alone to over 100 grams. Like nezu said that this needs to start at a very young age for hamsters in order to grow in size.

Our Kiko is about 110+ grams cause we got her at 3 weeks young and luckily able to pumped her up till her current weight today with the help of veges, fruits and smoothie.

Our heaviest is JackJack at 130 grams. He's been that big since we got him from PetShack last year November.

He is still trying to figure out how to escape from his zoozone2. Climbing here and there. Jumping from the top of this home, etc.

Got licked on the finger before by the males as my finger still have Kiko's smell after I played with her...

Nice custom extension. But do becareful with the opening at the top of the wheel. Your hammy might be able to squeeze through. Just remember if the hamster head can go through then body have no problem going through also.
