if your room too hot, then put some metal bowl, coz metal is cooler then the plastic tank or the bedding..
hamster wont be noisy if u put in tank
if put in cage with bar, some hams will bite it and the sound so !@#$%^&*, haha...

Aiyoh, someone's house lar. Then we can bring our hamsters also ma. Then it'll really be a hamster gathering. Hammy owners bring exercise ball then we see hammy running race. Hehe... 

syrians are for beginners but when it cojmes to space constrain, she won't be able to have the space needed to raise a syrian well. I think dwarves are more suitable.

As long as we don't travel too long. The last time there was a gathering at shayne's, she also ask people bring their hammies and exercise ball. Plus what better way to learn about hamsters than to see the actual thing?

Neshie, it'll be interesting to see how each hamster uses their exercise ball. The way Roche and Ferro run in the exercise ball are different.

But my hamsters love the exercise ball~ That means they can have flooring time without supervision mar, since they're in the ball right? It's easy to locate a bal with a hamster in it.

Hahaha... gathering still planning. Discussing with Reanne about this. For sure very fun. Last time we had kebabs, chocolate fondue, hotdogs and burgers, grilled corn.... even marshmallows hahaha... and we get to sit around and chat about our pets. The last gathering had ferret, hamsters, geckos, gerbils, rats, hermit crabs and gliders.

Any small animal, as long the small animal is not too wild to supervise. Just no dogs or cats loh. All animals must be in carriers since this is ppl's home.
We still planning.... I just agak September or October only. August too soon coz we gonna be doing a sugar glider gathering during that time.
Apple skin is actually high in calcium..... but you make sure you wash the apple properly.

I think the one I saw in Pet Family is Satin, cos its color everything looks same....

I don't think we can easily find satin or rex syrians in KL unless you are willing to hamster hunting around. Not just in KL only but around Malaysia.

But I think we can find them in Singapore but very troublesome to bring them back over. Smuggling in is dangerous for you and the hamster. So not really worth it. If declare, its very expensive plus the hamster might get quarantine in customs for some time.

Anyway the satin syrian that passo loco is selling, we are not sure is the fella is healthy or not. Also how old s/he is and all. So it's gamble to get the fella.

I agree. Plus the reason why he's selling is probably because he doesn't have time to care for it anymire. Meaning most probably not tame lar. Most probably not so healthy.
