you could try putting chicken wire so that its still ventilated but harder to chew chew due to the smaller gaps

Just finish cleaning all the 2 feet tanks and zoozone2 with blurjoey...     Fully clean all the tanks except for Echo the duprasi gerbil's tank as he only needed a minor cleaning job.

Stainless Steel is safe. Only wire mesh from Galvanised metal is poisonous.

Actually, I saw aluminum mesh before, RM14 for 1 meter....

Wean means that a particular living thing stops depending on mother's milk and can eat solid foods. Smoothies can be fed to very young pups (before weaned) I'm not sure about mealies. But surely after wean since it's considered as solid?

Actually I'm having this problem also.  But as long as they just pee in the sand I'm ok. Their poo is not smelly but their pee sure is.

Myself have 1 female hamster , she love to stay alone and she don't want any partner ,if i bought the partner for her sure she will bully them till die la. Now days my hamster love to eat my dog biscuit la and refuse eat her kua chi la ....

Sigh... His hamster had 10 babies lar. He's damn desperate to sell it off. Plus he's a new owner (whom I think never bothered to research) already wanna become a breeder for profit. What to say le?

Can you imagine. Some newbie say it look lonely, then he suggest ppl buy a company for it (in other words, like tell the fella "take another one from me la!).

You must remember, a hamster can breed every month. He sold his last batch off at 4 weeks old, meaning he did let the male and female breed right after, never let her rest. Poor hamster.... I guess she is gonna die young from overbreeding.

Oh, I went to the pet stall at KL Sentral's bazaar outsite... the one connecting to Monorail.... I think there is a black Syrian.... but a poor black, coz it is the browning type of black but kesian.... poor condition.... then 1 Sable was practically hairless.... pity.

Campbells have shorter lifespan than other hamster species.... but short lifespans are normal for rodents coz they breed fast. If the animal breeds slow, like say humans, dogs, cats, elephants.... then the lifespan sure longer. Like sugar gliders.
