Im having a trouble to introduce my male WW with my female WW.

Just now i try to introduce it in female tank & the male start attacking him.Is it because my female WW didnt has heat or i did something wrong??

Should i wait another 3 days?
Should it introduce at neutral or male tank??
*
never intro in female tank.. either in male tank or neutral territory.. females are more territorial than males..

sand bath is not a must, u can giv them once in a while..
*
if u're talking about robos, then i don't agree.. robos' fur will become very oily in no time.. so the best way is to provide them with sand bath inside the tank..

I have to put them in individual home which they cant play together anymore??

pls.. if u have time for all these questions, why not do some research on the net about Syrian hamsters?
since when Syrian hamsters like to play with each other? other ppl have emphasized on the point to separate them..
i can guarantee to u that these are true information.. so pls heed to the advices if u want a healthy pet..

My ivory gave birth to 2 pups (im not sure why theres only 2 pups)
and is dead, only 1 survived, she suppose to give last week, so i tot shes not pregnant and i put ebony together in the tank

i am so unprepared, when i saw pinkies, i immediately remove ebony from the tank.

aiyaiyaiyai, im so unprepared sad.gif

aiyaiayiai.. if take out the male dy, cannot put him back.. u must at least wait 3 weeks to confirm whether the female will give birth or not.. usually by 3 weeks, the belly sure very big dy.. even if din give birth, try wait another 1 week in case..

it's likely Ivory feel stressed that Ebony suddenly come back, so when she give birth, she eat her pups..

I check on the net already...many people complaint that the water leaks.

Oh well...i called up the shop and ask, they told me go back there to change another unit. I thinking of..instead changing another unit, i better get the tower mushroom water 1. Looks cute, if they let then it would be fabulous. wahahaha
About the wheel..my hammie look like cant climb up..so i helped them by putting them in and they dont really like it.
Probably they still young, when i bought them from petshop in Pudu, they told me they are few months old... To me, it looks more like 1 month old. lol
*
nono.. dont get the tower mushroom one.. it's easily contaminated, unless u're willing to change water everyday..

Added on August 21, 2008, 7:38 pmhazzy, right now pls separate Ivory & Ebony.. cos she just given birth, if she gets pregnant again her health will deteriorate.. u need to let her rest for at least 3-4 months then only can breed her again..

Mine is male and female.
Yeap, thats the water tank ovo

the food container is the one with strais rite? the stairs look slippery to me, dunno how r the hamsters gonna climb..
if u din fill the water bottle until full, sure will leak one.. even normal water bottle also like that..

i tell u, syrians are best kept separately.. cos i've had experience, when keep a pair of male & female, then when the female gets pregnant, she became super aggressive.. after given birth, she become over-protective until she killed the male.. syrians are territorial by nature, they only wanna have their own territory.. only when the female is on heat, then only she'll accept the male.. usually the female is the more territorial one..

so, only when u want them to mate, then only put them together.. after mating, separate them again.. but u must test the female whether she's on heat or not first.. if u simply put the male into de female's cage, rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

QUOTE(IcedNyior @ Aug 21 2008, 08:42 PM)
btw, hamsters can get pregnant when they are 1.5 mths old (I think). I read it somewhere.

so yea, pls separate ur hamsters soon
*
ya, around 2 months old, hamsters can give birth dy.. i've seen an underaged hamster gave birth before.. the female hamster will be stunted & wont grow anymore, forever remain small sized.. also, the spine will have problems.. cannot straighten the body, will be 'bongkok'.. i dunno how to describe, but it's an pitiful sight.. also, highly likely it cant give birth anymore..
