i feel that 4XXX series the card quite hot.....i adjust to 45% fan speed also kindda noisy for me....so i have to lower it to 40...but now im runing at 35%....the card temp is abt 55+- but then when i put my hand behind the card the air that is blowing out is quite hot....

btw...NVIDIA said to be dropping GeForce GTX 280 price in response to AMD..so..which's 1 better?if the price really dropeed?

I still suggest AMD.Why?Maybe because of its DX 10.1??
Becos nVidia DX 10.1 and 55nm is coming not untill Q4 2008/Q1 2009.

even after price drop.. nvidia price still significantly higher

the price cut will not take effect immediately at shop/distributor who still keep the old stock.

remember that, this price cut again, a drastic price cut

p/s: untill now, there is no 9800GTX at RM6xx price ...

The price dropped till $499 for GTx280
Which means cheaper than ATI already.

Lets said, i bought 2 x 4850 = $500. and the performance are just pair with GTx280.
So if $499.. we can think about it.

it wont be so fast to take the price slash effect as many shops are still selling 9600gt at rm6xx. 9800gtx still over rm1k.

8.7 beta give me 400-500 marks gain in 3dmark vantage, so i use that lo, summore most of the review site using 8.7beta also.

2x4850=$398 so ATI cheaper
2x4870=$598 so nVidia cheaper

If GTX280 dropped to $499, how about price for 9800GX2, GTX260 and 4870x2.

power cosumption for Crossfire will cost more in ur TNB bill also...

if u take into consideration of other G92/G80 that still at the market,
