darn it...yesterday i went to try the replacement restaurant. Order butter squid small portion. But charge me RM15. So expensive. Other places in kepong only RM8-12. Not like they are those high class restaurant like Tai Thong.

I was passing by yesterday so I turned in to check New Lai Heong. Yes, it is there next to the skinchan ikan bakar. Passed by the kitchen, it's much smaller than before. I saw only 1 cook there compared to last time around 5 cook. I wonder if they still serve very quickly.

fu lai's food is not bad but I find them to be too expensive. For that kind of price, we should be getting fully air-conditioned restaurant with local waiters. Instead, we get hot coffee shop with all foreign workers.

No doubt they have the history of good food but their quality has deteriorate a lot since they open up the kepong branch. I do not go there often because at that price, I can eat a lot of more things. Like bak kut teh and so on.

Yup, I saw that restaurant. Is that a totally new restaurant or shifted from somewhere? Will try this when I can...

You can see their business not as good as before. Cause they more business minded now. Portion is small. Add prawn and all expensive. Some of you guys really need to add in "value" into food reviews. I notice the younger generations doesn't care of the price. They just go eat something nice and don't bother with price. Anyway, I guess different people have different taste and priority.

nelson tan when they started, looks promising. They do fusion food. Then business must be bad, they cut down on a lot of dishes. Now only left with less choices and their furniture getting really bad shape. I think this shop will close down soon.

+1...especially from people who says puchong food is awesomely good. Some people just don't know the difference between good and editable. See lots of people means good.

seems like more people here says kaka overall as a restaurant, fail. So by upcar's standard, more people say means it's true?

Also, one more point to comment. There are lots of people eating at kaka? There are even MORE people NOT eating at kaka. Out there got millions of people not eating at kaka. So kaka food sucks, right? LOL...

Food in kaka is not bad. But as a restaurant, other factors also important like the service or hygiene. Look at the people who are eating at kaka. Mostly young adults. These are people who hardly do house work because the younger generations nowadays are so lucky. Have maids and mother doing housework for them. So to them, eat is more important. They don't realize the seriousness of keeping good hygiene cause they not used to doing it and thus are ignorant about it.

eh..this is good food in kepong area lah. You open another thread to ask for ss2 area. LOL

anyway the durian stalls all moved to Jalan 19/13. It is by the roadside near the Kanna Curry house of section 17. If you coming from sin chew roundabout, once you exit the roundabout heading towards SS2, go straight after the traffic light. Then you will see the stalls on your left.

i recently discovered the best burger stall in kepong. I can't believe that I stayed there more than 10 years and don't know about it and nobody here even mention about it.

when I read that blog, it was posted in 2012. So I was thinking if the stall is still operating. Cause I pass by that area like almost every week. So I tried and lo and behold..the stall is right there!! In front of my eyes everything I drive by yet I miss it!!!

So ordered some burger and wow!! I like it!! It brings back the old days when Ramly burgers were good. Nowadays, they have these otai burger and other brand which is not nice. This one definitely bring back those days. It is not super best burger but I would say one of the top for me.

So I ask the Pakcik operating there how long they been there. He said....12 years. LOL....

PS. vkeong if you are reading this..CEO or badbeat over priced burger can tapau. Ok..CEO already tapau. This DJA (if I remember the name correctly) burger is here to stay!!!
