Depends on what you wana do like everyone said. I speced feral for 1 year plus. U will be asked to tank alot in pve situations . Even in BT you will be one of the off tanks if you are good. I was one of the tanks for Blood boil. Right now i have had enough of Feral and going Balance and i am having fun. Its a bit different then feral and i am learning but the best thing about being a druid , if you are bored you can always get gear and switch to something else that is much more fun. Balance will be my new spec for WOTLK. And one more thing if people force you to spec to heal , just move on to a better guild. My ex guild finally wants moonkin druids but too bad i am not interested and left them for a better guild which i am in right now.

Yes i know what you mean by feral not being able to push out those numbers. Yes we dont but that doest not mean we cant. Let me tell you why. Ferals are never given a pure chance to just dps. A cat druid with 44% crit will do very very good dps, top 4 dps. This is proven. I never bothered to focus on cat gear at hyjal level and i just used my t5/t4 mostly for tanking only and even my dps gear was just trinkets and necks and stave's for dps. I did not go all out and get rogue gear .

Secondly yes I dont like to be forced to be a healer so if u like healing and you were forced then i guess I am happy for you.

Thirdly, A balance druid can top dps charts. It i feel is the only hybrid class that can manage to do it. Dont ask me how, I am a new Moonkin now compared to feral and I am still learning but i have seen wws of Balance druids topping the damage meters. It has been proven, we are not the easiest class to level as balance or the best dps class. But we pull our weight.

Leveling as feral is a very good idea , but it can be done as balance, but feral makes things cake.

well dont worry, people who 'think' they know everything will laugh. Yes i found it hard to believe and yes I did mention it was not me. I am new to the "balance" spec. So i have not fully learnt to dps well with it. But i have read the wow forums and asked around and yes some people laugh at the idea, balance druids cant dps is usual the first thing on everyone's mind. Everyone who is ignorant will 'lol' at it. Yes it is not as easy as a mage or a lock to easily top charts. But I dont have the WWS charts with me but i have seen Bt geared moonkins(few as they are) posting on teron gore fiend, being top dps, (mind you everyone here was wearing T6). The question is believe what you want to belive and flame all the way. I just wanted to share my information with you.

P.S. : A hybrid class can dps. Balance druids lack cc, but if you look at the tree its nearly comparable to a fire mage's tree. It's has been done and can be done.
