not yet, still thinking  cry.gif

Almost ordered a Dell E228WFP. Looks like a good monitor, accurate grey colour representation, but only 16.2mil colours.
But saw somebody selling HP L2208W. Hard to find info about this monitor, seems like a new model I guess? I wonder how this compare to HP W2207h. It has 16.7mil colours, based on spec la.

When you receive the unit, maybe can post a short review here... I'm sure you'll find lots of desktop real estate for your photo editing work.. brows.gif

Yo guys I got a Samsung 943 NWX from PC Fair but only now I notice something. I've got some flickering and it only happens on certain parts of the screen which is very very weird. Its not really noticeable if it displays dark colors but it is particularly clear when it displays white with dark background. I used a very dark wallpaper and I dragged a white icon all over the screen and the flickering only occurs on certain parts of the screen. Its flickering is at its strongest on the top right side of the screen. Anyone experiencing the same thing ?

Edit: Oh ya its not because of my SLI setup, already tried with each card singularly still same result sweat.gif

So was wondering whether its normal or a problem with the monitor.

Try switching off the "Dynamic Contrast" thingy on the monitor settings... icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyway, I've noticed that model which means your are using analog VGA connection. Try these test pages...

http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/clock_phase.php
http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/inversion.php
http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/sharpness.php

If you see severe flickering, then it could be due to incorrect clock and phase settings.... You may need to adjust them to get a stable image.. rolleyes.gif

Now do you see why I've always recommended getting monitors with DVI... wink.gif

I am also looking at a few LCD monitors currently. More interested in 24" widescreen and above range. Also seen a few forumers selling Dell ARB's. Price is much much cheaper but payback is the warranty and also the quality of the units though.....

Wondering if I should one with only DVI/VGA inputs or with vast choices of inputs i.e. component/HDMI etc. Any opinions?

Pick one that suits your budget, recommend getting the one that comes with DVI port. wink.gif

Those that have DVI are recommended. Some monitors have DVI that are HDCP-enabled, means its equivalent to HDMI. wink.gif

HDMI is useful if you are going to use it with BluRay/HD-DVD players, Playstation 3, DVD players with progressive scan, at the moment... If you are using it for PC with BluRay drive, the graphics card must be HDCP compliant... rolleyes.gif

Then what if the LCD have HDMI Port & also HDCP enabled? meaning the DVI port is equivalent to HDMI and have HDMI Port to use? sorry a bit confuse here. Mind to elaborate more?

I'm thinking to buy ASUS VK222H model during PC Fair. Is it recommended guys?

if it comes with both HDMI and DVI, you can use DVI for your PC...and HDMI for other device such as PS3. if your graphic card has HDMI, you can just connect to HDMI capable lcd using HDMI cable. it's just different type of input to your lcd.
