QUOTE(Kyl3 @ Oct 7 2008, 12:37 PM) Run Crysis with 1920x1200 with 4850 definitely will suffers from low framerates. Better get a 22" instead. I'm running 4850 on 24" LCD 1920x1080. Sluggishness is noticeable at Very High setting. Somehow previously I can run smoothly on 19" LCD. Hopefully my new 4870 will get rid of this sluggishness

QUOTE(PhantomThief @ Oct 7 2008, 10:01 PM) Sorry for the noob question, but if you're a gamer, is 16:10 or 16:9 better? Is there a significant difference between the two? 16:9 is the normal TV widescreen resolution. 16:10 is the widescreen ratio for computer monitors. There is hardly any difference between the two. 16:9 stretched to 16:10 (for those who are using their monitors as TVs too) isn't too bad.

QUOTE(khaidani @ Oct 8 2008, 03:46 PM) Siu_Keong and owikh84, I made my order and payment for Dell S2409W 24" last sunday, only today I received the Delivery Notification, and when I check the order status in Dell website it stated the estimate delivery date is in 20 Oct 2008, which is freaking long time to wait , meaning 15 days time is it normal ? or is it they just put a long estimation for their safe state, while usually only taking 5-7 days time? Yes, mine is expected to arrive within 3 weeks. But it reached me exactly 5 working days. I think u should get it next week. QUOTE(lkoky @ Oct 8 2008, 05:23 PM) Does the Dell monitor comes with any vga cable? more specifically HDMI cable? thanks. Dell S2409W which has DVI, analog vga, & HDMI ports; does come with DVI & vga; but no HDMI cable

Game consoles PS3, Xbox 360 etc display at 16:9. If 16:10 shrunk to 16:9, u will get a bad quality gaming. Btw, do u all know that 16:9 is wider than 16:10??

QUOTE(geez3r @ Oct 11 2008, 08:24 PM) hi could someone recommend me a decent 22" widescreen lcd thats good for playing 3rd gen consoles like ps3 & x360. prefer one that gives good 1080p performance but i dont mind 720p too.. possibly one that costs around rm800 - 1000 as i would b getting a hdtv soon so this lcd will be transferred to d pc. thank u in advance PS3 & Xbox 360 display in 1920x1080. Dell S2409W for RM1040-1089 is a good choice.

Hmmm...sry no offense i jus curious hehe The S2409W's exterior is not as nice as the 2408WFP. But S2409W is among the cheapest 24" in da market currently, & it's promo price for certain period only.

QUOTE(nyunyu @ Oct 25 2008, 12:16 AM) Ah..thanks for that. Good to know that the 22" is HD ready. So, basically it is 1080i rather than 1080p..err...right? I'll try to load up some movies right after my LCD arrives tomorrow. Most 22" (unless it is Full-HD) are 1680x 1050 not 1080p or 1080i. 1080p or 1080i is only for 1920x 1080 display.
