QUOTE(verx @ Jul 31 2008, 08:03 PM) Goal.com are a shit site so take everything they say with a grain of salt. The Van der Vaart deal is almost done. 9ME now + 2ME if we win titles. Good piece of business i say Daniel Parejo will join QPR on a two year deal with the option of returning after a year.

none of u guys watching the Emirates Cup? Madrid vs Hamburg?
Madrid leads by 1 to nil. Nistelrooy with a simple tap in from a pass originated from Salgado.
On the Ronaldo topic, I don't think he will be unveiled as Madrid's player this coming season.

For a moment I was stunned. Lip to lip action with his sister? In other news, Goal.com reported that Garay may join us this season instead due to Schuster's demand on the condition that Racing are paid an extra 1 million. Added on August 3, 2008, 5:05 pmWill tonight's game against Rsenal be shown live? This post has been edited by Soulsareworthless: Aug 3 2008, 05:05 PM

FT: Arsenal 1 - 0 Real Madrid
We didn't seem to be in the game the whole time but it's nothing to worry about. Sneijder's injury is one that I'm concerned now. I hope it's not serious.

QUOTE(scorps @ Aug 4 2008, 02:13 AM) How many games have Madrid played so far in their pre season? Yesterday's game was our 3rd game. QUOTE(zeronehza @ Aug 4 2008, 02:34 PM) woo about 6 months serious injury.... thats a huge loss... we really need another replacement playmaker... Yeah, I'm kinda pissed at Diaby. And wasn't it Wenger who suggested last time that footballers like him have no place in the game . I guess when it involves his own players he turns to Mr "I couldn't see it". I'm pretty confident the VDV deal will be done soon so we're lucky in that sense. I wish we didn't loan Parejo or sold Granero though. They could have been adequate backups.

OMFG~!!!!!! out for 5-6month..... Calderon focuses on Sneijder amid Ron rumourshttp://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id...=europe&cc=3888» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « President Ramon Calderon refused to disclose whether Real Madrid would step up their pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo after Wesley Sneijder suffered an horrific knee injury against Arsenal yesterday.
Holland midfielder Sneijder was carried off during his side's 1-0 loss at the Emirates Stadium following a heavy tackle from Abou Diaby and reports suggest he could be out for up to six months.
Sneijder's team-mate Michel Salgado admitted he thought the playmaker's injury could force the Spanish club to put even more energy into their seemingly relentless courtship of Manchester United star Ronaldo.
But Calderon preferred to focus on Sneijder, expressing sympathy for the 24-year-old.
'We are very upset about Sneijder's injury,' he said. 'It's serious and it's the worst news we could have.
'He has, at the very least, torn his interior ligament.
'He is very bad, very upset. He is crying because it is a very serious problem and very painful.
'He is a very important footballer for us but that's sport. We feel bad for him. He had bad luck.'
Midfielder Javier Garcia believes Madrid can take much from the Emirates Cup, despite a less than impressive performance.
The Primera Liga champions were lucky to beat Hamburg 2-1 on Saturday before yesterday's loss to the Gunners.
However, Garcia believes his team will be fit and ready to go by the time the Spanish season kicks off on August 31.
'I think our preparation is going well, very well,' he said. 'Apart from the fact that at times we found it hard getting into game and of course the injury to Wes, I think it went well.'
Hamburg were the overall winners of the tournament, which also included Juventus.
Like Madrid, Juve also failed to impress as they scraped a 1-0 victory over Arsenal on Saturday before losing 3-0 to Hamburg.
